Well, I consider myself somewhat of a T1/T2 purist (haven't even seen TG). Although I actually bought the 1:1 TG endoskull from Chronicle, because the Sideshow skulls are crap now, and even though it's not T1/T2, it's a fantastic endoskull and I'm a sucker for cool looking endos, regardless.

If I decide to get this, my rationale will be that it's a 1/6 Endo which is different from my 1/4 HT endo to set it apart, it will scale with my other HT T1/T2 figs, and also fit with my TG endoskull. And frankly, I'd be quite shocked if we ever see a T1/T2 1/6 T-800 endo from HT.

Looks like I will be sticking with original matte silver Endo for now.

Well I have about $100 in Reward Points.. Will probably be almost exactly 100 once my points from the Guardian mature, so I'm tempted. As I'll only ever buy early pre-orders and exclusives from Sideshow ever again, it's tempting.

If I do order it, I won't be leaving it too close to November, to avoid a ****-up from Sideshow like they had with my Age of Ultron Thor and all the Reward Points I'd put on it..

If not this figure, then I'll be waiting until the New Avenger version of Scarlet Witch is announced.

How is this being released? Yeah, I get that endos will sell but if that's the case do T1/T2. Genesys was hot garbage from ticket sales to reviews. Hot Toys must have had this thing in the oven too long not to try and hawk burnt bread. No thanks!

this new skeleton is so highly detailed that its engineering is superior to old HT skeleton.
several things are fixed:
1) it looks to me that his shoulders can move now, like on T-600.
2) chest is hollow and full of mechanics, like it should have been done on the first skeleton but nobody does it for some weird reason!
3) forearm shape is fixed - it's not expanding from elbow to palm now. that's cool.
4) feet shape is superiour to two other Hot Toys 1/6 and 1/4 skeletons and fits the original skeleton.
damn, if only HT did it for the original.
for any newcomers this thing will be a beauty, though newcomers to terminator designs won't appreciate anything of it yet.

No I love even the stop-motion puppet. Some of the freakiest scenes were of that thing walking around.

It's a mileage will vary scenario. For me, no it wouldn't fill in for a real Endo. It's too different and I despise the modern-day take on the Endo-skull.

But this nevertheless is a fantastic looking figure, very intricate. I'm sure the engineering is probably incredible.

I still have the original HT Endo from like 2007-2008 I think. It's awesome... but desperately needs chroming.

I've given up all hope in trying to comprehend Hot Toys release patterns and strategies. You could think about it for days and get nowhere, honestly. It's baffling.

That's kind of a loaded question.

I've been waiting for a 1/6 die cast endo from Hot Toys. Sold my first one off way back when they showed the MMS117.

Not being a T1/2 is a bummer....but it looks pretty good.

1. hear people saying "please stop making ironmen, give us terminators".
2. make an endo and a terminator of a wrong design from a movie that failed.
3. check how it sells.
4. conclude that nobody is interested in terminators.
5. continue making ironmen.

...

2. make a rotting robocop with wrong paint scheme and ass stuck to the chair.
3. check how it sells.
4. conclude that nobody is interested in robocop.
