1/6 1/6: Hot Toys - MMS4??D20 - Iron Man 2 - Mark IV Diecast Figure

Had hemmed and hawed, pre-ordered on BBTS and cancelled at some point, but just went and re-ordered from SSC. My favorite scene of all 3 IM movies is him sitting in the donut, even went and bought both pairs of the red/black checkered Von Zipper sunglasses, not to mention its my favorite armor. Shouldn't have been that hard of a decision to make , but this pic did it for me:

Yeah, hungover, smashing coffee and doughnuts, Beastie Boys in the background...something about that scene has never stopped resonating with me.

Can't wait to get this one.

The Mark IV by HT is everything I wish the Mark III was, engineering wise.

I am guessing with just ordering today that I will be in the second "batch" of these next month.

Would be nice if I were wrong, but considering that people are already paying crazy numbers from HK
on this guy, I am fine with playing the waiting game.

that's a real nice review indeed and i can't wait to get mine with the gantry. I guess, we wil see the preorders here in europe, not before end of november.
Will def. put my plastic, oldschool Mark IV into the gantry and show off the diecast version right next to it, in full exposed battle mode :-D only downside for me is, the missing dio background, from the original release, when they used the packaging for this, i think......anyway ...did i mention, i can't wait for it to arrive? :-D

Thats Justin guy is killing it lately, easily the best reviewer of these things.

My LCS is getting the gantry ver this week, got a smoking deal on it so caved, now I have both Gantry sets... And no room for either. Anyone compared the two gantrys yet?

From everything I have seen or heard, it is the same sculpt as the original, with better weathered paint apps…
and the black panels at the bottom are now tempo printed with the gridlines and numbers instead of them
being cardboard inserts that are reversible, that the original came with.

Small bit but does the Gantry version also come with the regular stand too? I'm sure I'll always have it on the Gantry but was just thinking after seeing the video review. This is I think the single biggest collectible purchase I've made lol, kept flip flopping on it but I don't have any other Iron Man figures and this with the gantry will be a near perfect display.

Depends what youre looking for in terms of your collection, the mk 4 and 2 might look good together, but the Gantry is really nice too. Personally im doing a Gantry ver. and a regular, then one can be occupied by the gantry display and ill have another to do posing/dios with
