I'm glad to see we're getting the OG Goblin first, though I'm sure his NWH look is in the works as well. But for me, I wanted the OG Goblin, so this will be a definite purchase for me.

I guess with a Dafoe head people can more easily complete their platoon trilogy that hot toys never finished.

All I want from this movie are Tobey, Ock and Gobby though really so lets make it 28.
Yeah, but what about everything else that's coming out this year? Batman, Doctor Strange, Kenobi, Flash or whatever. It's a packed year and the next one seems to be the same as well.

Huh??? I haven't heard anything about this...
Yeah, they're turning Atlantis into Mayans for some reason (I reckon it's just optics; Black Ethnostate Vs. Brown Ethnostate and it'll be revealed it was all set-up by the wh*te Devil Doctor Doom; at least as per leaks). They're all going to be played by Native Americans. Here's Namor:

I guess it's time for Latinos (uh, sorry, "Latinx" is the PC term these days; don't wanna get cancelled when my future place of employment scans my online activity) to get their Ethnostate in the MCU. First Wakanda, then Shang-Chi's magical Chinese village, now this one. The wh*te Devil must not be fed however, so this is a brave and stunning choice. I thought they'd go with a traditional Atlantis and a mixed race half-Asian Namor, but nope. Now, how a civilization that lives in the crushing depths of the ocean did not turn paler as time went on is beyond me, but... Oh well, what do I know, I'm not some bigshot movie executive. Still, yeah, that's Namor.

And this is Namora:

I like Mayan aesthetics and lore/myths well enough, so it's not like I'm opposed to seeing that culture get the superhero treatment, I just don't like it overtaking Atlantis. I wouldn't mind it as much if they went with a route where it's a legitimately super ancient lost civilization and has bits and pieces of lots of ancient civilizations IRL, being their progenitor of sorts. So it'd be this mix of Egyptian, Babylonian, Minoan, Mayan and whatever else stuff. But they're making them Native Americans specifically and that just seems cheap to me. Disney's Atlantis and Nadia did a "Brown Atlantis" better.

Eh, whatever, at least they're not turning them into even more OP Ancient Wakandans. I'm more mad at the awful Kang casting.

Jeez are some of you guys rich?
I make my mummy and my daddy pay for all of my dollies by convincing them it's a sound investment. I hacked the system.

I'm joking, obviously.

Just realized they could easily add the torn up purple hoodie and pants as Deluxe Edition bonuses for this figure seeing as how the Raimi suit wasn't damaged in the scene where he kills Aunt May

It's not just a torn up hoodie and pants though, there are additional pieces added to the armour, it's also damaged even in that scene

Lmao, solid post. If this is true, then yeah this casting and race changing is kinda annoying. Hopefully these casting rumors are all BS.

It's most probably true. It's being reported for half a year or so now. And it makes sense by way of recent trends. It is what it is, I suppose. It just irks me that a lot of the characters I was looking forward to are getting miscast, while tons of them that I never cared for were more or less well cast. It's ruining my dolly displays! I'm willing to give Mayan Namor the benefit of the doubt, but Kang has dissapointed me utterly. I fear for the FF and dread for the X-Men. Eh, we'll see, we're still ways off. Who knows?

Yeah, the dude they hired to play Kang is kinda goofy and not at all the person I would expect for that role...but, hey, what can you do about it except complain on the internet, right?

The current excuse is "that wasn't Kang", but the fact that they butchered Immortus like that is even worse. He doesn't fit the role at all and that's final. It's like getting Jack Black for Magneto. Whatever, like you said, nothing to be done but complain on the interwebs. Eh, it is what it is.

Well the point of that scene with Kang was that was a variant that stopped the multiversal war, but in his total power he isolated himself and it drove him insane. I expect to see a much different Kang in Antman3.

I can't get my head around Loki getting sent back to the TVA, Mobius doesn't recognize Loki and Kang the Conqueror has a statue there as they see the multiverse branching. Time doesn't matter in the TVA and perhaps The Conqueror got there years ago but the TVA structure and personnel was left unchanged. I don't think there is any variant TVA as it exists in it's own then can enter any branch. Very confusing with you know, the infinite amount of possibilities.

I think the guy playing Namor looks right for the part. Not a fan of Jonathan Majors as Kang though, his hyper overacting in Loki didn't work for me.

^ looks awesome (even though not screen accurate). I bet we get the OG release first while HT has time to work on the sculpt, and then they give us the second version.

Even if this comes with the hood as an accessory, it wouldn't fit over the helmet. The helmet is huge.
