Got Ock this week, has amazing shelf presence….
Have the deluxe version so have the nano tech tentacles…has anyone tried to put these on the Toys Era figure and do they fit?

I really want to like this appearance of Doc Ock, but i just can't. I wish one day Hot Toys decides to make Spider-Man 2 version of the character with a proper facial expression, that look is so nostalgic and classic for me. The turtleneck design from the movie which makes no sense since he was brought up from the Raimi Universe and the poor headsculpt Hot Toys offers is just not my Doc Ock.

I’m going to assume Molina couldn’t shift the weight in time so they added the turtleneck to make him more comfortable. If hot toys were clever they should have designed the body so the head isn’t part of the neck and you could remove the turtleneck to create at least a SM2 look.

Yeah that's what i think has happened there, i've seen some people replacing the body with a Starlord one and achieving the Spider-Man 2 look. But again, the headsculpt is really poor, the expression just doesn't work. And the trench coat is slighty different to Spider-Man 2, especially the collar area.
