Speaking of must haves, now that we have Rain and the Scorched alien, how many others are interested in Andy? I think he would round out the Romulus shelf pretty nicely.

If they make The Offspring, I’d hope they make either PJs or space suit Rain lol
I'd be more tempted by an Andy figure than a Rain figure. Trouble is, if I got Andy, I'd feel I'd need to get Rain to go with him, then I'd have 3 figures from a movie that I neither loved or hated. It was an ok movie for me personally.
Can't justify the spend.
Bizarrely, if they did a figure of the hybrid thing from the end, despite me hating it, I'd be tempted to get it. Imagine his goofy, smiley little Zuckerberg face everytime I walk past it. Endless giggles.

I think I’m content with the current selections now that I got what I really personally wanted lol. I think Rain vs Scorched encapsulates the film pretty well, but I would consider more if they were to go deeper.

Honestly, I’d prefer if they move on from Romulus and revisit Alien/Aliens and tackle Prometheus. How about that?
Personally not a fan of Prometheus but I’d be all in on Alien/ Aliens figure… Tho for me The creatures has got to come first. I don’t really want an A1 Ripley without the Big Chap.

I just don’t see hot toys releasing multiple Xeno’s almost back to back, we Alien nerds can tell the difference in xenos but I’m sure most people can’t so I’d prefer they stick with Romulus for a couple more figures in quick succession then to come out swinging with a big chap 2.0.

Yes, a new Ripley with these seamless arms, improved sculpt and moving eyes, please.

Well I'll be getting her. All critique (valid I know) aside.

I grabbed Supergirl even in the middle of the Holland-Gate blow-up, so I'm used to this by now. This captures Rain well enough that it won't bother me too much if they don't revise it.

I’m a Isabela Merced fan, so I’d get a Kay figure.

But it’s probably a 1 in a million chance that Hot Toys would release it.

… so you’re saying there’s chance. :lol
I'd be floored if a third figure comes out of this line, as much as I would like to see it happen! I'm an Isabela fan too, instant day one order with her. Maybe we will see a hawkgirl figure.

It’s funny cause Prometheus is what got me into this franchise. I loved the film so much I read up on the lore and eventually I found out it was connected to the Alien films, which I didn’t know about beforehand lol..

Soon enough, I watched Alien (1979) and the rest is history. I hail that film as the best film of all time.

I’ve got MMS366 Ripley and would like to customize it, but I agree, I/we need the Big Chap. I thought about grabbing the OG release, but haven’t cause of all the deteriorating issues they have.

We’ll see what they end up doing. Selfishly, I’d prefer to see a new Aliens Ripley release with the Power Loader, but if they make an Artisan Alien ‘79 Ripley, that’d be unreal.

So many things they can explore with the IP, but seeing as they really enjoyed Romulus enough to do 2 releases so far, perhaps they have more in store from this film.

I’d love that. I’m hoping for the Aliens version of her first 👌🏼

Weirdly the Alien vs Predator game in 2010 is what introduced me to both franchises. I was quickly binging all the movies. I was a fan of the series for a few years when Prometheus released I just couldn’t get into it. I think I would have liked it more if it was my introduction to the franchise but as an Alien movie it was missing everything I loved about Alien. Granted I only watched it once and never went back.

I wasn’t collecting when Ripley released, I passed up a couple opportunities to pick the figure up from EBay because I was able to secure the Big Chap.

I’d prefer Aliens ripley, she’s such a badass in that film but I want a Big Chap 2.0 more than I want Aliens Ripley so… just give me all the Ripleys and all the Xeno’s 😂

I hope they continue with more Alien figures regardless of if it’s Aliens or Romulus, just happy to see hot toys doing something outside of superheroes and star wards that actually interests me

Cheers, man.

I should consider myself lucky I enjoyed Prometheus as much as I did. I know how divisive it is for the purists though lol.

I wasn’t collecting when Ripley came out but finally got her last year. Been thinking of getting it rooted, face repainted, updated body and other little things. Overall, I love all the Ripley looks, but the ‘79 look is my personal favorite. And I feel ya on wanting Big Chap 2.0 – best creature design of all time, imo!

If HT knows what’s good for them, they should revisit the classic films. It’s what most people want, I’d wager. Keep ‘em coming.

Personally, I'd love a figure of her from Alien³. I think it's her best performance from the first 3.

Don't forget Hicks and Newt to round out the three! :rock

Too soon? :monkey3
Good lord, that's what happened to Hicks? He looks less messy in the movie with how little they show. That prop definitely doesn't suggest impalement.

I love her scenes with Clemens, how she strolls into the cafeteria surrounded by prisoners and just sits down, and that beautiful scene with Elliot Goldenthal's score when she refuses to trust the company any more.

This shot. After all she's lost, it comes down to this.

I like her halfhearted chuckles as she leaves Aaron to go look for the creature in "the basement." She's just such a vibe in the third film. It's as nuanced and human a performance as I've seen in a movie of this kind. She has every reason to feel defeated and sells it extremely well, yet still retains the resolve that makes her, well, her.

It's impressive how well the film turned out with the awful problems it had during production. The assembly cut is even better. I love that the actors came back and redid their lines to clean up the audio.

It just breaks my heart we never got to see Fincher's vision. The assembly cut is indeed better, but it's merely the better version of a film Fincher didn't want to make. Ah, well. At least his stylistic DNA is everywhere.

Yeah it bugged me that even in the Assembly Cut they still left in Morse's line at the end where he says "Ripley, it's piping hot, douse the f***a" since in Fincher's cut she comes up with the idea to turn on the sprinklers herself which felt more heroic.
