Me personally, I just like my figures to look mean, edgy, bold and confident. Or neutral with a touch of “coolness”. The neutral expressions I’m not a fan of is when they’re too straight-faced.
Expressive sculpts are far more limiting than neutral sculpts.

The blue eyes really bring out the likeness, I hope we get some high resolution pictures of the figure at Secret Base. Also looking at some pictures it seems like there's a teeth plate inside the mouth to give it more depth and realism, nice touch if that's the case.Blue eyed Rain:

They're probably waiting for licensor approval to officially go ahead with the change.I’m surprised they fixed it so fast. But why not post an update on socials?
Those wrists are the biggest problem now.
Yeah, this is the only shot where the expression bumps me, though, to be fair, I very rarely have figures interacting directly like this. Pretty much lightsaber duels are the only time I have figures standing face-to-face. Otherwise, I'll have them posed on a shelf together facing forward, and I agree that Rain's expression works perfectly well for those kinds of poses.

unless I’m missing something here, I said I don’t like straight-faced expressions.Oh, I'm sure you'd love DAM Toys Resident Evil Claire then!

Gotta love that blank stare...
Which brings me back to this, to me it’s clear they based the portrait of this still, but they just didn’t nail it. If they were to tweak the eyebrows, make them thicker and revise the shaping, and tweak the eye shape. It’d make a world of difference.

I figured lol. Cheers... yeah... you're missing the irony
Just know that most of us in here also feel this way lol even if we discuss the inaccuracies and shortcomings of the current prototype figure. Thanks Hot Toys for offering a cool figure from a great Alien film! I’m stoked!
All this for a 12 inch tall figure that will stand behind glass from several feet away representing an Alien movie. Or will live on a shelf or just hang out in her box in the closet in the dark. It’s laughable all the criticism over minor details that ultimately don’t make a ton of difference when she’s posed in a display case. When she was shown as a possible production everyone was hoping and wishing. Now that they announced her as an upcoming figure everyone hates all these things about her making their own adjustments like they know better. I’m just happy she’s getting made. The eye color was important for sure but all the other nitpicking is ridiculous. There are just those people who are bored and need to be heard. The more I've thought about what you said, the more I love it. I'm glad you mentioned the Dark Knight Rises armory because it presented just the kind of two-in-one package deal you were talking about - Batman suit on one side, Bruce on the other. It would be amazing to see Hot Toys do the same thing for Rain, given the fantastic wardrobe changes she goes through in the film. Sure enough, I had to do another mock-up of another fantasy set. The ultimate one, as far as I'm concerned.Actually I’d love a space suit done like the dark knight rises armoury. A sculpted Rain posed holding the cryogun and a pose able space suit that can be displayed with a rain sculpt or empty.
