After seeing the movie, I am glad I didn't pre-order any of the characters other than K2. No interest in getting any of them.

I am always amazed when i see people who have on this forum for awhile but still seem determined to spoil Movies for others. Is the urge to be a jerk that strong?

I don't know because I haven't seen the film.

However, it was "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....", so everybody's dead. Except maybe Chewbacca, because he was still alive when Indiana Jones found Han Solo's skeleton.

Can't say the character made as big an impression on me as Rey, but it was still a nice performance and it's such a great looking figure and outfit so think I'll be keeping my preorder.

Agree 100% on the character and the outfit. None of the rebels except maybe K2 are must haves for my collection. Jyn's excellent rebel outfit and her ties to the death star probably keep her as a puchase though.

I'm thinking I'll buy Jyn and K2 for the rebels. Tarkin and Krennic for the imperials. If I can get a couple deathtroopers for under $200 each I might do that but I didn't find them particularly impressive. Tarkin easily my most wanted figure from the movie. Would love to have him and Krennic together on the same detolf shelf.

Gotta give credit to those black-clad troopers. They do hit their marks.

Before seeing the film, i was thinking "Jyn only", but now i reckon i have found a set of characters where if i get one of them, i'd have to have them all. I haven't felt this level of completion-ism since the first Avengers movie figures were released.
Like everyone is saying, this is a different Star Wars movie, and one of the most important stories in the canon. Hitting the transmit button is the start of a line of dominoes that eventually topples the empire.
So i came back from the cinema from the cinema and put Chirrut and K2SO on order. I would be in for the whole crew, including the pilot. Obviously, Jyn, K2 and Cassian are the main trio, but the rest are just as important.
I don't have any desire right now to pick up the troopers though. But i do like the shore trooper design. Maybe when they are released, if i am not broke by then, lol.

I believe there are three groups you can do out of the RO crew.

Group 1: Cassian, Jyn, and K2 "the trio"
Group 2: Baze and Chirrut "the Han and Chewie combo", as someone said in the Baze thread
Group 3: Bohdie and imperials. "the saboteur". Having him amongst imperials knowing he defected makes for a cool sort of spy set up.

Just food for thought/opinions.

All are valid combinations. I will get all the rebels they release. Except Saw. I felt he was a bit extraneous as a character.

Yes, I do appreciate having the time to save for these things. And having to wait a long time helps decrease chances of impulse buying. When you have months to think about something, you start to understand if you actually like it or if you're just hyped up. This is the reason I cancelled almost every TFA order. I ended up only buying Kylo Ren. So glad I did too.
