Great figure, definitely a must-have for me.

And I think the headsculpt looks vastly improved in the video from ToysTV!
I wasn't that impressed with the old prototype shots, but the final product looks pretty much perfect to me.

Still not feeling the headsculpt. For a guy who has such a distinct look, HT managed to miss it. It's a shame because I would have gotten it otherwise. Maybe they'll get it right for Ep 9!

Not 100% but I think they did a pretty good job with it. Better than the 1/4 scale sculpt they had.

I really like the sculpt and expression on this. I’ve no desire to get the figure but hopefully I can be quick enough to snag a sculpt off TA for my TFA Kylo.

This turned out really well. Even though I prefer his look in TFA, I've frankly gotten pretty bored with that figure and feel like this would be a much cooler one to display and pose. Especially next to my TLJ Rey.

Just not sure it feels like much of a priority right now, with all the other stuff coming out soon.

Looks awesome IMO. And since I don't like Rey's face sculpt I can save money on her and the Praetorian Guards and get Kylo and Crait Luke instead.

I think it was a choice by Rian Johnson to show that he's growing beyond his desire to be Darth Vader. Keeps up with the line he says "Let the past die, kill it if you have to". He's growing past the boy playing Vader.

Yes, destroying the mask is the ignition point for his character arc in the film. I also think it was an important move for the filmmakers because it forces them to grow him beyond just having a cool look.

Kylo Ren in TFA, in terms of characterization, is a pale shadow of where they took him in TLJ.

Looks great I think I can wait, after all, the TFA Kylo is still selling at retail so not in a hurry . Have a feeing I will always be able to get this one as well

So the year-end onslaught of figure releases begins. Appreciate the early video from these guys as always. Got this on order but I'm wavering...

The production portrait is softer (yes, they usually are, I know) and that affects the look with Kylo a bit. Not a soft guy. Everything should look and feel edgy. The softness and the dead eyes take away from his intensity a bit that was more present on the proto.

The outfit is true enough to the film, but has a bit a cheese I'm leery of. The very cheap looking plastic clasp on the wait band really jumps out. The heavy stitching on the tunic's quilting is somewhat distracting. The thing that stands out (poorly) the most is the cape-no lining, HT? Really? Totally destroys any cool display/draping options to have the unfinished, stitched-together piecework of it showing. It's the most stunning oversiight I'm seen in a long time on any HT figure. I hope this wasn't some strange stab at cost-cutting to leave it unfinished.

No "glove-free" hands? Really? Many of Ren's most significant movie moments feature his bare hands. Another unfortunate oversight.

I'll wait to see some more "in-hand" photos before deciding. The video shows one moment of posing that helps the figure shine. Let's see if any of our fellow freaks can make this figure really stand out...or if it goes down as a near miss.

I watched the video. Figurewise, it's very good, kudos to Hot Toys. The issue for me is, the costume design itself. I bought TFA Kylo. I wonder how Ep IX version will be.

TLJ hmm what a great movie and actors. Amazing! And scenario is absolutly one of the best ever.

I could be wrong, but I think he only took his gloves off during the force-projection scene with Rey when they touched hands. He definitely had his gloves on during the throne room battle scene and the Crait fight with Luke.

You are correct. He only has his glove off in that one scene.

The figure itself looks alright. Still something off about the head sculpt to me. Will be sticking with TFA Kylo.

I think the final product looks better than the prototype. I can't wait to display him next to Rey and the Praetorian Guards. Unfortunately, I pre-ordered him through BBTS. So that means I probably won't get him for another 2 months.
