It's also not the size of the mouth you have to keep in mind but also the cut out hole section on the cowl as well. A previous version might fit but you might have gaps all over the surrounding sides of it if it's not 1/1 to the previous cowls.

Knowing Hot Toys, I wouldn't bet on it working. This suit is ugly as sins though. I don't blame Affleck for not giving his likeness for any merchandise. The man has abandoned the Snyder DC ship for a while now.

Because they've been doing whatever they hell they want with no consequences for over 15+ years now. :lol

It's sad how the only time they had to recall and adjust a sculpt was for a ******* Iron Man figure.

I’m curious to see the film and how large Affleck’s role is. If he’s barely in it I don’t care as much about I get a figure of him anyways.

Although I don’t dislike this as much as everyone else (in spite of the likeness). The suit is definitely different but has grown on me. I actually prefer it to the JL Tactical version.

Keaton is really where it’s at for Batman as far as I’m concerned for this movie.

I always felt like Affleck was too busy with his personal life, and embarrassed by the critical reception of BvS, to want to play Batman anymore. I think he signed up thinking the Snyderverse was going to be much more high-concept than it turned out to be.

There was always the rumor he was contractually obligated to appear in three more movies after BVS, idk if that was true. If it was true, it seems he could have declined to offer his likeness out of a wish to begin distancing himself from a franchise he is officially no longer required to be a part of.

That seems petty to me but actors can be weird about their perception. Especially if they feel recent work has diluted their brand. Affleck was riding pretty high as a director and actor before BVS and, unrelated to the Snyderverse I assume, his recent work just hasn’t generated the buzz he was getting back in the early 2010s.

I’m just thinking out loud though. Who knows, this could 100% be a Hot Toys issue or intentional decision.

Someone should ask John at Queen Studios if Affleck refusing his likeness is true, since they are moving ahead with BvS Batman, it's probably fan speculation since this figure looks so awful.

So this is how they let Affleck go out? In that suit?
I was never as big an Batfleck fan as others here, but he definitely deserved a much better batsuit in his final appearance than this. But I get the impression they wanted to differentiate it as much as possible from Keaton's suit, which meant no more black or dark gray or anything that could possibly confuse audiences.

I don't know who did the costumes for this movie but it's horrendous... nothing like the elegant work that Michael Wilkinson did. Apart of this. In the trailers, the Batfleck scenes that we know were filmed by a double have a lazy cgi on the face and cowl... maybe it's to hide some spoiler and this ends up having a reason?

If not, then Hot Toys **** himself...

The suit is trash, but that’s the fault of whoever made this movie, hot toys did a decent job at replicating it. But the mouth plates are not Ben Affleck. Just…bad.

I can’t wait to read comments from brain dead fools who say “just don’t buy it” or “stop complaining”.

The problem with the cowl is that it doesn't have a strong jaw line. It's made worse by Hot Toys' sculpt making it look like a bloated egg head that had too much sodium for its last meal.

The stunt double doesn't look fat in the costume. Hot Toys just decided not to put any effort to the proportions.

BVS suit was the best by a country mile. The mouth opening, the jaw, the thicc neck, the more defined ears (rather than the JL ones that slope into the curve of the head like a bird's crest), not to mention the lack of panels on the suit. I really don't know why they messed with it.

Curious to see InArt's take on BVS Bats. I wouldn't be opposed to a 1/4 version from Hot Toys either, but that's unlikely to happen.

From what I'm aware he didn't have to do the extra stuff in ZSJL or The Flash. He was a proponent of ZSJL getting released and has recently spoken about it being one of his best-reviewed movies on IMDb.
Wouldn't he have to have signed off on his likeness for the Tactical re-release?
If anything I would say he seemed to distance himself more since Gunn announced his plans, especially with his recent remarks about not working for him and showing up for Snydercon 2.

I tried watching the suit again and again, and it seems like the cowl and cape is turned into 1 piece like comics/cartoons. Have a look at the final trailer or recent spots (with updated Cgi)

The notion that Hot Toys just made up a new face for this figure because Affleck didn't sign off on the use of his likeness is plain stupid. Likeness rights for merchandise are baked into every contract these days. If the figure's been made, they have the right to use his face.

It's just a bad sculpt, probably based off scant reference materials for a bit part that was filmed years ago and painted over with crappy CGI. If Affleck's approval affected this figure at all, I'm willing to bet he just didn't care about how it looks.
