Good figure of a terrible suit = terrible figure?
Personally, I'm really liking the figure. Said this when those blogger photos were released. Headsculpt is another topic though

The completist in me kind of wants to get this so that I can keep a complete run of Hot Toys Batman figures from each film. But there are some things about this figure that just seem pretty off. I think the biggest one is that the faceplates don’t resemble Ben Affleck at all. Like to the point where I wonder if they just don’t have the likeness rights to Affleck for this version of the character.
Surely some third party manufacturer will make more Affleck-accurate faceplates for this figure, right?
I will say, the Bat-Cycle looks really cool.

I just my copy of the figure and I'm having such a hard time putting the articulated neck post onto the body. I don't know if the ball joint is too big or too small. IDK if heating with a hair dryer would help because it's just hard plastic. If anyone who has this figure, tips would be appreciated!

Does the cowl piece have a neck post that goes onto the body ball joint. If so use a bit of force to push it down. The split cowl piece is magnetic with the head right.

with the Original suit from BVS 2.0 coming there's very little reason to pick this up for me.

I think if anything getting the mouth pieces from BvS 2.0 to fix the sculpt on this is the only route anyone will probably take. Doubt you'd want to put this cowl on the BvS figure. Lol

Agreed. I'll be interested to see pics of what it looks like. But a proper Affleck faceplate won't save this figure.

Cool that they made this more cross compatible (wish they thought more about this), but this suit design is crap. Sometimes HT ends up improving over the theatrical reality... but not today.

Yeah, the body looks a bit too large for me. Affleck WAS big in all of his film appearances as Batman, but I don’t think he was THIS big. In fact, it seemed to me that he looked a bit smaller in The Flash than he did in Justice League or Batman v Superman.
I’m still on the fence about getting this figure, but Hot Toys made some design choices that I find confusing. Including making the figure look this large. Did they go overboard with a padded suit underneath the outter costume? I do think that part of what’s adding to it as well is the figure’s face looks too round. The faceplates, in addition to not resembling Affleck, make his lower face look really round and wide, which adds to his appearing too large.
I’d be interesting to see what mods people come up with for this figure to address these issues.
