I have never heard of rubber issues on the diecast iron men figures.

I have a Dutch figure(rubber body) that's perfect. Two Dutch bodies used on customs, both good as new. Two dx02 figures, no issues. Toyfair batman no issues. Thor la no problems. A second LA thor body for a custom, no issues. An Ivan drago no issues. A Rambo with no issues. A robocop with no issues. An ed209 with no issues. A comedian with no issue. Well except he has marker on his face from my daughter. A dx12 and armory batman with no issues. That's a boatload of rubber figures and if the failure rate was anywhere near where these posts make it seem at least half would have issue.

Edit-also have hulk, gamoria with no issues. And my daughter has her own gamoria and its fine.

I keep seeing people talk about him looking tubby/fat but he looks like a BEAST which is just like the game. He was HUGE in the game, I think this is SPOT on and I can not wait.

This thing looks like a floppy, melty piece of dukie. He's too fat, to buffed out and he has a tiny head! He... crud... I keep trying to make up junk to convince myself not to buy him now that he turned out awesome but it's not working.

He's not fat. He's perfect as a VG representation.

I think the problem is that the rubber looks weird once you try to do ANY type of posing, which sucks.

We better get to recreate this:

...or else...batfan08 will be very, very sad. Please, Howard, don't make batfan08 very, very sad.

The prototype looked chunky, the final product looks massive. Looks great as long as he's not the least bit posed, once that happens the rubber looks terrible. Starts folding and rolling, and loses the illusion of a powerful physique. I really want a Batman and thought it might be this, but I'm just not a fan of the rubber.

See where he lifts the shoulders and bends the elbows? They bounce a little back because the rubber restricts the articlation. The nasty rubber issues aside, this is one thing i never liked with rubber figures as well.
Rubber would be more acceptable if those figures had shoulder joints so you can lift his arms freely.Like the Thor figures.

There's restriction as shown in the "bounce back" but it doesn't mean that's it's limit.. there was a lot of resistance in my Begins figure but I was still able to get the arms up high for the keysi pose in the previous page.

It looks beautiful in a museum pose, but I want something dynamic from this Batman. Too much rubber so I'll pass.

Who knows maybe Tony Mei might do an cloth suit.... I would be fine with just an plain cloth suit... Here's an photoshop I did...

Nice mock-up. I was considering this as well. Using the base parts along with a fabric suit.
