I’ve never had to do this with Kit before, but when he sends the invoice, will I have the option to choose PayPal credit? Or am I going to be stuck using the method I chose when getting the pre order?

Of course you can take the jacket off, they’re not gonna super glue it on . There’s a reason the standard comes with the ungloved arms.

So watching the video, has me worried that these will be more articulated statues than fully articulated figures. They really didn’t show off the figure in any dynamic posing.

I've seen this a lot in others place like FB. I don't think they've given us any reason to think these will be any different than any other 1/6 body. And generally Joker really isn't one for dynamic poses. They just posed him in his normal posture and a few in those iconic poses. We see his arms look to have the same posability as any other body. We see that he can sit and his feet can swivel around. He looks more hunched in some photos than in others so there's your crunch. I think we're good.

Well, that settles it. I'll be waiting for the Arthur rooted 3-pack at 1.5K$.

He'd fit right in. QS answered a comment on FB back in the day and they said they had no plans, so I think it's a licensing deal and WB/Phoenix/Phillips don't want Arthur toys to be made. Maybe JND will fare better, but I doubt it.

You are correct, at least for the time being. I knew there were no Joaquin Phoenix figures being produced and only statues. That being said, I thought Iron Studios may have produced a Phoenix 1/10 scale, but nope. Not high end enough.

I guess if a Phoenix dolly happens, it'll be a rooted-only Double/Triple Pack kind of thing. Dunno if I like him that much. It'll depend on when he launches I suppose. If it's full-on F4/X-Men season, then I'll be passing. Virginoker was interesting, but not enough for me to drop that money and miss out on tons of other characters from my list. I'd rather get a Travis Bickle or a Michael Corleone if I'm buying movie classics. Or a Commudus & Maximus 2-Pack thing to have a Joaquin doll.

I've still not POed the regular. Will hold off a fews days. But the vid they did with the magnets really intrigued me.

I'm wondering about the rooted hair's longevity. QS is top of the line in statues, maybe it won't be of any concern in the long run. The glue they're using is probably rather good.

See myself handling the figure, rotating its head and seeing strands of hair falling off... :/

Decided it's better not to miss out and went for the rooted double-pack. Wanting to get a hyper-realistic custom for this so better to get the two, can always sell if it doesn't come out great.

Still got my eye on JND's 1/6; and of course their statues take priority in my collection now. Definitely bowing out of Hot Toys; they've run their course for me, 1/6 is finally heading in the direction it became stagnant in.

Seemingly all the online custom makers are now forming their own studios or ex-employees of companies like Hot Toys are emerging and bringing out what people are now wanting.
Interested to see how this turns out!

Yes, I viewed the various videos on YouTube, but this is just John saying they will look into the possibility, nothing concrete as yet. Until the licensing arrangements are negotiated, we won't know until QS officially announce it. For now, still high end statues.

Hopefully we can get the Phoenix Joker and Nurse Joker as well.

The green haired sculpt wasn't much good as I found the hair too straight and unmanageable, but the ginger nurse 'wig' was better match and could be cut into a closer approximation. Sculpted hair would be better.

The dx 11 is still listed for big bucks on eBay. Makes more sense to get the single sculpted hair one instead of springing for those old and over priced figures. I might just preorder one of these since i am so happy hot toys finally have competition.

I wonder is hot toys will recast this joker's head to use for their next Joker.

I wouldn’t say competition. HT made their Joker money a million years ago. Competition would be if they decided to release another 1/6 Joker, which would still sell like hotcakes even if the socks are inaccurate.

Apparently they mentioned in one of the Q&As from last night, that figures from old movies like Returns were more tricky for them regarding the licensing or something like that.
