If this company focuses on removing exposed joints it's a good. Hot Toys for some reason don't see exposed realism killing joints as an issue and ruined many figures unnecessarily. Hopefully other companies see things differently.

No way I would consider buying a figure with rooted hair. If they do offer doll hair on figures they need to offer separate options instead of having both sculpted and rooted hair heads included and we have to pay for it.

I really hope that they would make figures hot toys ignores like more of the aquaman cast.
I get the exposed joints, longevity. Hot toys tried seamless, look how many figures have been damaged over a short time.

I want to be able to pose my Wonder Woman and John Matrix. But I’m scared they will rip.

I think people hoping for new characters, especially cult 80s ones, might end up disappointed.

Looking at the statue scene right now you have Prime 1, Queen, Infinity, JND basically doing the same characters as each other. Lots of Ledger Joker, Phoenix Joker, Bale Batman, Harley Quinn, Mera, Catwoman and now Battinson.

So far Inart have confirmed Ledger Joker and Battinson? No doubt they'll do an Iron Man sooner or later. If JND are making figures as well it wouldn't be a shock to see them start with Ledger.

By the answers from Queen Studios in his last post on Instagram it has been confirmed that his releases will not be available worldwide.

They can be quite good figures but if we have to pay more to a reseller or something, then this will be way overpriced.

Sad!
What like paying a reseller like Sideshow ???

eBay reseller, Sideshow it's all the same. They're called Middlemen.

The first thing I asked them when their tease came up about entering 1/6th was will they be doing Star Wars?
Their response was that they didn't have the license to,but are always looking to expand.

😮😮😮😮
That would be cool. This single licence mentality is ridiculous. Maybe WB can show Disney that having multiple licences is not so problematic, and gives the fans some additional choice + some much needed competition in the 1/6 area.

Let's see Hot Toys have had 5 releases.

The original MMS purple suit Joker. I think people forget this one. It was bad.

Bank Robber Joker 1.0 - two sculpts and a lot of people thought the main one was the best for a while

DX01 Clown & Police sculpts

DX11 Weird smirk & Laughing sculpts.

Bank Robber 2.0. - A repaint with a fixed hairline, no second sculpt

Funny enough, I think probably the best ones out of all of these is the DX01 Police and the DX11 laughing sculpts. Neither one is the main event.
This is really interesting. I can remember years ago when I was trying to justify my first Hot Toys purchase there had been multiple Iron Men produced. They looked cool, but then with the advent of Diecast and when the Mk46 came out, I jumped in.

Maybe, just maybe if Queen can nail a 1/6 Ledger Joker then I'll jump in and skip the queue and all the seemingly lesser versions which have come before.

Yea, I rather have exposed joints to be honest. I just want someone to think of a better/cleaner way to show exposed joints. So many companies just follow what HT do and set that as a standard. I understand the desire for no joints to be shown, however, we are collecting action figures and joints are just part of that. I understand that for certain characters like the ones you've mentioned, it's nice (and almost mandatory) to have the seamless look 100%. But someone needs to come up with better and longer last tech for seamless joints. I mean even Arkham Harley had paint rubbing off the arms almost as soon as ppl started posing her. There's got to be a better way and either someone hasn't thought of it, developed it or it currently costs too much too be mass produced at a feasible cost to the customer.

For me exposed joints mean better longevity for the figure, and while I certainly can afford to take part in this hobby, i’m by no means rich and i want to see my expensive purchases last a good while.

Seamless arms/legs or fake leathers and rubbers on figurines can kill interest for me because i know in a short timeframe it will start looking bad.

More companies just need to include two sets of arms. The CCToys LoU2 Ellie came with a set of seamless and a set of jointed, and I used it to put her in a bow pose where the seamless arm is used for the straight arm and the jointed arm is used for the bent arm. It's the best way to handle form vs. function.

Justin's Collection said he heard this will have pricing point(s) in the realm of $790 up to $1600. Not sure if there is multiple editions or what not.

We'll see when QS reveals the price. JC has been hit and miss with rumors so who knows.

Whoa... that's well passed my $500-$650 guess, which people thought too high. :lol

Yeah, at $790+, I will be slumming it with Hot Toys for quite a while more.

The current standard Hot Toys price of around $275-$300 often makes me take pause. I really can’t imagine who the target is for these figures. I suppose the most diehard of fans of a film or character but still.

Good luck with that Matrix Resurrections Neo :lol:lol:lol:lol:lol

At $800+ I question the logic of almost their entire lineup. I get you can only make the stuff you have the license for, but is Legolas really most people's favorite Lotr character?

There is a wide range there cause I think he was guessing? that there will be two versions, a sculpted hair and rooted hair. He did not know anything when it came to accessories.

Just debunked by Queen Studios. They will be priced competitively and laughed at the rumoured 800 dollar price tag.

License for all pictured figures is China only for the moment except for Dune it's global.

He was asking for license ideas. Said Bond is available.

They just signed a deal for the Terminator in statue scales, but sixth scale is possible a year from now. Specifically mentioned the endo, T-800 and T-1000.
