Yeah Comic Sanctorum is another front for Toyswonderland. It's just what they use to sell third party figures. Would avoid both if you can.

I wondered if that was true but the shipping was way cheaper corvus blade 3rd party) for comic sanctorum so I wasnt sure.

Toys wonderland I had ordered some small items from in the past and the shipping was OK for those, but the toys era juggernaut figure almost cost as much for shipping as the figure itself.

That black cape kind of scares me.

I was stupid enough to leave the HT WW black cape in a box with the spare hands, and when I came back to it at a later date all the hands had been badly stained black.

QS might troubleshoot that staining issue and come up with a solution. Can't wait for a QS 1/6 regular WW and not a GA from WW84. There's not many releases from the first movie.

I’ve been collecting for maybe 8 plus years, but did Hot Toys ever have good communication?

And as far as I’m concerned not many manufacturers do. Even now the only ones I know of in the statue game anyway who do are the newer companies like Queen and JND, but when you get right down to it, it’s just a form of promotion that’s likely to wane once their respective companies get big enough that they don’t care about maintaining such relationships anymore.

Well yes and no, howard chan used to give Q and A responses to milk magazine every year but not a ton of info really came out of those. I think the last one he did was when the ROTJ emporer and royal guard were announced back in...2016 or 17? I think Justin of justins collection met him at a con in hong kong in 2019 but I dont remember much news from that.

There is a certain shadiness to collecting anything, for example when the exclusive toyfair predators were out a lot of people were upset they didnt get the exclusive "limited" versions when a seller had piles of them, this was maybe 10 or 12 years ago? So it makes sense that howard chan stays in the shadows and remains mostly incognito. I wouldnt know him if I saw him. This is also true for sideshow back in the day driving up preorders for toys so people would put money down upfront for fear of not getting an order when there really was no shortage at all.

It makes me wonder if hot toys themselves dont drive prices on the secondary market to generate interest in their figures. Anyone who collected baseball cards in the 90s may remember companies doing the same thing in that hobby.

Wonder Woman is one of those characters that, if they went the whole way with (rooted hair, seamless body, metal weapons, a good base), I'd be seriously tempted, even if I'm not a big WW comic fan. However, I have literally no interest in a Gadot version. I'd much rather get the videogame one.

But I have to say, between the polls, this release, the teaser and HT getting more and more clowny, this is the first time in a while I've been legitimately excited about some new releases. Paul's the only one I'll even try and get rooted, but I'm hyped to see where this all leads.

I damn you for putting that idea in my head. For me it would purely be as a backup if the rooted hair is either a disaster or later turns into a disaster over time.

Interesting. They still have the rooted version available there too. So QS is offering this at wholesale to US stores then? Guess I completely misunderstood how they were rolling this out.
