The SSC holster looks about right. I'm sure I saw a DML Russian one that looked good as well. You have to be careful how you put the jacket on him when you use the Relic Hunter shirt, even with the body you have he ends up with no neck if you're not careful. Still, having seen how much Kato's shirt costs I've decided it'll do. Unless they part out the DX one cheaply.

CHEERS!

Edit:

LOL, it was actually the DML Serge Bernier holster, I've got one, nice shape but too short to hold a revolver, ah well....

Nice looking Indy set up there don't you think!? And for $40 too, nice! Might have to bear that lot in mind.

Murray Corrigan is also good:

I got a superb Die Hard 4 rig custom made from him.

Are you looking for custom belts and holsters for Indy? I hope you've considered mfishers work - everyone else has :)

Thanks,

I was contemplating it, I'm keeping my options open at the moment. The thing with using what everyone else has is that you then get a production line look happening which is what custom figures are supposed to avoid.

True, but if the production line is pumping out Indiana Jones clones in 1/6 scale would you not buy one? I don't care what everyone's customs look like so long as mine looks as much like Indy as possible! You won't find that level of accuracy anywhere else, I assure you ;) and certainly not where belts and holsters are concerned! But if you prove me wrong I'm very much looking forward to seeing it posted here!

I have no intention of proving anyone wrong or building the ultimate Indy custom. I will build an Indy I'm happy with and post him when I'm done. It shouldn't matter if he has all the best parts or not. Customisation is often about making the best out of what you have available to you and I intend to do just that.

I'm thinking I might cheap out and just get the holster... as its the only bit that really bugs me on the Indy figure. I can always sort out the belt myself, or get a stock one from a different figure if need be. But the holster looks spot-on.

Looks a lot like Mfishers stuff. I'm in great need of a holster myself, although I was thinking of getting the HT one once its parted out. But this is a nice set for a good price...

MFisher's stuff is nice, but, he's charging for a holster alone what you can get the complete rig for from Steve-O.

I'm tempted to get a DML Victory (Very close to the 'Bapty' gun.) and the rig. I'll see how things look later on in the week.

ahh the holster is on my list but I gotta sort his Swede out first....

So cast another one up and got slapping the paint on...

I think this one is better and hopefully folks will agree, but I dont think I am there yet... but I am enjoying the journey...

Hi All

Dorgmal Snow - Mark again another great looking head bro, I think skin tones are great and the eyes are simply amazing.

And guys I usually don't get into little disscussions about what is the best or the worst items to get for figures but damn does it really matter honestly.

I have been coming to this forum for a long time now and I have to say that I have not seen one bad Indy figure yet and the talent here is amazing.
Yes some guys have gone for the ultimate looking Indy by purchasing accurate items and others have used what they have like myself.

But I honestly think that customizing is an art form that varies from person to person and everyones custom are a unqiue figure no matter what you use or don't use.

But the thing I see alot are people forget is how to have fun doing this hobby and be proud of what they have made.

Ok I have had my little rant for the year.

Ron

Hhahhaa cheers man yes if you cam ignore the shirt please do :) I have been looking for a good replacement but I can find a relic hunter one and as much as I would love a custom one budget is an constraint at the mo.

I think I will live with that head. The other one I painted is up for grabs if any one wants it I have repainted the eyes. I will take some pics later :)

I think this sculpt looks superb! If I had it, I wouldn't just live with it, I'd marry it! You should post it in the DX thread and remind people what a good Harrison Ford sculpt looks like.

CHEERS!

Ahh to kind guys well I will post a pic of the first one and like I said I dont really need two. I think I will cast up another one and try and put some stubble on the next one.

Ron is really kindly sending me a sculpt to play with but if any one local has a ROTLA hatted Sideshow sculpt I could borrow for a couple of days so I can make a mould of it that would be great! Also a stone from TOD as I want to try to cast up a few and fingers crossed I have a idea I would like to play with.
