The neck is a little tough to get off but I actually pried it off with a screwdriver. I pulled out and shifted the neck enough to get the screwdriver point in, then carefully (carefully!) pried it upwards. Be sure to put a piece of thick fabric under the screwdriver where it fulcrums on the body in order to avoid any gashes. I had a piece of leather nearby and used that as a cushion.

Ok boys, I am building up the confidence to use the nail polish remover on the guyliner. Are there any tips on how to proceed? I know I need to have the eyes look up, and to use a tooth pick on the actual top of the lid...but any other tips? Do you guys think it's safe to use on the head? Is there anything else I am missing? I know, I know...grow some balls but I just don't want to butcher this sculpt. Thanks.

That looks so good it's not even funny...

Does the Kato jacket have those little strap things on the sides?

Are you not using the HT sculpt?

Thanks swsqueakquels :) The jacket does indeed have the details and action flaps in the back! I am actually planning on using the sculpt that's in my avatar, I'm just waiting on it to be painted :duff

Ok , last question how do put the neck onto the new body??

Ok , thanks. Now do I just pop in onto the Pro 1.2 ??

Yep, that's it! The only thing you might consider is maybe stuffing something in the neck cavity before putting the neck on the new body. It's the bottom of the neck joint on the first Indy that makes the head go floppsies, so I put foam in there to create some resistance.

Edit: Just saw your other post. The neck just gets shoved back on the peg. Should be easy--at least easier than prying it off.

Deak, did you consider just doing a wash over the eyeliner instead of the nail polish remover? Acrylic paints should wash/wipe right off if you make a mistake. But taking away too much with the nail polish remover is more permanent. :dunno

:lecture To Mad-Lu-Wan you listen! Only a fully trained Jedi Knight with the Force as his ally will conquer Arnie Kim and his guyliner!

Thanks for all of your help ! I should have the new Pro on Friday or Saturday so I know what I'm working on this weekend .

So I have invested in this little project

60.00 for complete replacement SS ROTA Indy ( I broke the leg off at the hip of my loose on while trying to tighten the joints. )

100.00 for repainted head by Snyderman

20.00 for a custom whip

25.00 for Pro 1.2 body

Should be done after the body arrives.

After all our warnings!? Oh well, looks like it worked great. You may need to lightly sand and repaint.

Well, in my defense, I did it before the warnings!!
:lol

I like Kato's stuff. I just don't want my figures wearing classier clothes than me.
No kidding!!

I know, I wear a $17 hoodie.
:exactly:

I am now 100% happy with my decapitated Indy

Amazing work on the jacket Kato, it (and the shirt) is just spectacular

Oh noes!! Another headless bash by Marf!! :panic:

Damn it Dane! I'm tired of seeing a headless Indy from you! Get some head already....:lol

That's how he likes his figures don't you know?
Did you ever see his Neo and Marty!! :lol

Here's a few more pics of my Temple of Doom Indy. i have a lot to do yet, dirty his face, add blood etc. I started on the shirt as well, first color change. Cut the sleeve off, and started to distress it. But I have a lot to do with it yet.. All WIP (I still haven't taken off his guyliner!)

Great work so far!!

Rorywan, that TOD Indy looks amazing! I don't think you even need to do the eyeliner thing! I don't know what you did, but it looks spectacular!

And that Kato jacket is a work of art. I would have a really hard time deciding between that one and Sovereign Studio's(?) jacket. On the one hand, SS's jacket is the right color and finish. On the other, Kato's is simply luscious. Worth every single penny for such fine craftmanship. If I had the money I would absolutely buy it. But I still think it stinks that HT's very expensive figure didn't come out good enough that people still feel compelled to replace key elements of the figure.

So, is it the lid itself or the bottom of the inner eye lid? :panic:

Not sure (I don't have it...yet). I think it might be both. Anyone care to chime in?

Some heads seem to have more of a dark wash around the eyes than others. I see it more on the upper eyelids on mine, which looks appropriate to me.

I think it depends on your particular head/how mental you are.

Thanks! I have really enjoyed it do far. Its really nice to get suppprtive comments on here, I'm tackling the pants blood and dirt next.
