I was just looking over my Indy collection recently and realized what amazing work that Mike Fisher does:

Mike even made me a screen accurate Well of the Souls crate for the Ark:

If he had only made me the screen accurate pump and pail for when Indy torches he snakes _...

Mike worked on the 1/4 scale backpack, the gunbelt and Holster, and did the strap on the sidebag:

I can't think of any piece I have (or have have had) that Mike didn't help to improve ...

Thanks again Mike for making great stuff for us.

My recipe.....

Repainted SS head by Snyderman
Custom whip made from Kangaroo hide by Jerzy Joe
KOTCS Indy Jacket (Thanks Mark)
Pro 1.2 body from GI Joe Flint bought from Toy Anxiety
SS Raiders shirt give a tea bath
the rest is SS stock Indy .

Looks great, Lordscum! :hi5:

The body looks too small to me. The shoulders are too narrow and are swamped by the jacket giving him a hunched appearance. The TTM-19, which is essentially the HT Indy body anyway, would work much better.

Indy have a slight hunch , I also have already spent $200 plus getting this guy together and I'm very proud of it . The whole point if doing this
is the show that you can have an SS Indy that is just as nice as the HT version w/o the unecessary bells and whistles of the HT version for less.

At the end of the day the most importaint thing is that I'm happy with it , which I defiantly am.

That's fine, if you're happy with it then that's what really counts.

It's probably because I'm not happy with mine that he is taking so long to do. It's painting the sculpt that is holding me up. I seem to get so far, notice something is off and have to go right back to vinyl in order to fix it. I'm getting there, I just have to take my time and I will eventually have something that I'm happy with. All the crap over the HT one all but killed my enthusiasm so I largely ignore anything to do with that.

I'm intrigued by the planned heads by Shatner's Toupee, and, who knows, I might ditch my SSC one and go for one of them yet.

Sincerely appreciate the feedback fellas... the work I have done over the past few years has been an enjoyable experience which has been fueled by passionate input from fellow collectors and gear heads... all improvements / tweaks to the process were, and continue to be, a product of constant feedback and advice from collectors across the globe that have supplied me with endless screen reference photos as well as photos of actual gear from personal collections.. a very well deserved thanks goes to CKing and Faststreets, both of whom have been very active and attentive in advising me on the finer points of creating these pieces... at the moment I only have a TOD custom Indy completed in my own collection due to focusing on filling orders in lieu of working on personal projects.... however, with the release of the HT figure I have found a renewed drive to do one for myself and have been picking up loose parts here and there and started work on a custom Raiders Indy (finally !!) For the last two nights I have worked on pending gear orders then spent the last hour of the night painting my 1/6 scale custom resin head that was done by Kaiburr (when he rescaled the PF head down to 1/6).. the end result is turning out to be a hell of a custom Indy.. I am fairly pleased with the paint up of the head so far.. (although my painting skills pale in comparison with what I have seen here on the board).. I hope to have this figure done by the weekend and will post photos then.. the Indy I am building depicts a pretty battered and dusted up post mechanic fight Indy... I will say this though too.. a custom Kaiburr head outfitted with a mix of HT and SS parts is turning out to be a pretty sharp Indy custom... goes to show that there may not be one definitive right out of the box perfect Indy.. but a combination of what is available can make a perfect scale depiction of the character.. can't wait to wrap this one up and put it out for view...

I the head I just bit the bullet and dropped $100 on Ebay and bought one from Snyderman . I was able to see exactly what I was getting
without anyfuss , plus I paid through Paypal so if issues arrised I would have some recourse.

It was the crap with the HT Indy that influence me to do mine.

I wasn't terribly keen on Snyderman's head myself, but, so long as you're happy with it.

The Warrior's Gate heads are sculpted on a computer and masters are then, I believe, outputted with a 3D printer. The results I've seen so far have been very impressive. I've seen a sample of their ANH Han and they have totally nailed Harrison Ford, possibly even more so that Trevor did. The great thing about sculpting on a computer is that you can make any tweaks you like without having to resculpt anything from scratch.

I'm excited to see what emerges from their camp

I think it just needs some minor futzing. The shoulders are nice and broad on the Pro 1.2 and it fills in the jacket perfectly, with the seams hitting at the corners of the shoulders, just like it should. The KOTCS figure jacket is a little better than the ROTLA figure jacket, but the cut isn't perfect (not like Sovereign Studios or Kato's wonderful jacket). I have both my KOTCS and ROTLA Sideshow Indys changed over to the Pro 1.2 and I gotta say they look perfect. The overall proportions are just right, and they fit the clothes great.

Not bad,

I went with an HT body as I didn't like the neck on the Pro. The jackets look so much better if you unpick the stitches holding the collar tips down.

I would be interested in seeing that .

Just curious what you base your observations on? I have studied lots of pictures of Ford as well as screen captures from lots of his films. That computer sculpt is off, especially around the eyes. Everyone seems to have a different perspective. I almost bought the repaint that Lordscum purchased, but after seeing this picture I went with the Snyderman sculpt. I am also useing their Han Solo to replace the SS sculpt. His sculptor really picks up the subtlies that most sculptors miss, and non artist never notice.

I made my observations based on the photos of the sculpt that I'd seen. There are enough of it from different angles for me to judge whether or not I like the sculpt. I've also studied enough pics of Harrison Ford to know what he looks like.

Neither of the above paint jobs, or perhaps the photography of them, show either sculpt in the best light. The SSC sculpt only looks bland if the paint job is bland, which, to my eyes anyway, the above is. As for subtleties there are plenty there in the SSC sculpt, you just have to strip it and start painting it to see them.

We all have the right to express a preference and having worked closely with the SSC sculpt I think it's still the best available right now.

If WGP need to make any changes, which I don't think they do, they can be done in seconds. I'm reserving full judgment until I've seen the masters of the Indy sculpts.

Paint jobs and lighting definitely make a huge difference... I am not even a talented painter and yet I think the repaint I did of the SS Indy sculpt turned it into a really good likeness of Ford..

Would love to see someone like JC Hong repaint that sculpt..

Looks great Mike, your belts etc look awesome on it!
:clap

Blast! I just noticed that my satchel is missing one of the two gold colored "snap" buttons.

Good thing I took pics while open the box, can see the one missing before I even opened it. Not worth sending back, I'm sure I can find a little nub that will serve the purpose.

There's just so many timy bits to keep an eye out for....
