1/6 Indy Customizations: Image Thread

Another question. Anyone know off hand if Kato's Indy shirt would fit over the chest area of a TTM 19? This is excluding arms of course.

This is Indy on a full HT Indy body (TTM19 equivalent) with the Kato shirt and jacket.

Thanks, Marf! I think your's definitely set a new bench mark in terms of the ultimate Indy. All the different efforts of the four (or five?) artists really came together nicely.

I'm surprised no else has shrunk down the PF head. It really does show just how chubby the 1/6 head looks in the cheeks. Anxious to see the WGP sculpt once it gets in the hands of various head painters.

Thanks MANDO, means a lot! It was 4 artists (mfisher, Kato, Silentsurfer, Trevor), although you could count Kaiburr, since he's the mastermind behind the shrunken sculpt.

I'm really eager to see the WGP sculpts too. I was definitely going to pick up a neutral cast, but the longer they take, and the more time I have to appreciate my current sculpt, the less I feel the desire. Watching the Indy trilogy on Blu recently, I realized just how much HF does the slight lip curl that (I think) Trevor captured perfectly in the PF sculpt.

And yeah those WGP sculpts. That thread goes quiet so often it's a little concerning. We passed twelve months without a problem. My excitement has definitely been ground down over time.

To see those sculpts painted up by SS will be something to behold... just hope it's in the next year!

Hey Marf, could you give a break down of the clothing when you get a chance? I have a kaiburr PF 1/6 Indy sculpt coming and I want to build up an ultimate Indy for myself as well. Besides the jacket being Kato's, are the rest of the clothing HT, or SS, etc?

Jacket - Kato (but I would hold off, word is he's going to make a 'Raiders' version)
Shirt - Kato
Pants - Hot Toys
Shoes - Hot Toys

Yeah, that paint-up is okay but maybe the color is too warm in the pic, not sure (has a strong Johnny Depp vibe for some reason,) but I'm still encouraged looking beyond the color balance issues.

The smiling one is going to be tricky. I'm worried that only SS will make it shine - others with lesser paint may end up with a "Here's Indy!" Shining custom.

Did a quickie retouch/sharpen just to see it better (revealing a little lazy eye in there,) still an off pic but it foregrounds the sculpt a little better:

The version he's put out so far is technically modeled after KOTCS I believe. But with some leather products it can be made darker to look more Raiders. It's still a ways off from having that true Raiders look though, so I'm excited to see what Kato comes up with! The Sovereign jacket can be nice, but I've seen the quality vary from piece to piece. No doubt it's better than the HT jacket though.

Nice work on the photo! You're right, it's not the best paint-up, but it's strong enough to sell me on the sculpt (even though I'm suspicious there might be a little lens distortion going on as well). No doubt SS's paint will bring out even more HF. The smiling sculpt will indeed be tricky, it does take a talented painter to pull off the more emotive sculpts.

Yeah, commenting based on one photo isn't good. A lot of DX12 customers may have regretted cancelling after they saw the in hand pics.

Who did the paint up and photography on him? The paint looks very good, but something about the head shape (which could be a lenses distortion) is off.
