I'm surprised how small the WGP is, I was expecting something inbetween the HT and the SSC in terms of size. The smaller size of the head makes the hat look small even though it might be the right size for the head.

I hate myself for it, but, I'm beginning to doubt that the WGP head was the saviour we might have thought it to be... gulp! Out of your three, I might still go with the SSC.

Yep, it's a great sculpt no doubt, but has just as many issues as any other version I'm afraid, and the size of it when everyone has already got the Indy bodies waiting for the head is a big issue. I for one am not switching the body again I've spent too many years and too much money on this figure already.

Unfortunately you may be right. There's something lifeless about it. I dunno, I've never been big on the SS sculpt really. I see the likeness and Ive seen multiple paint ups of it all of which look drastically different. It's just too bobble headed.

I hear you, I too will do nothing more to my Indy after I'm done with him this time. I also have spent more time and money on him than any other figure.

That's the thing, the only time I thought the SSC head was bobble headed was when it was on the stock Prometheus. In photos of Harrison as Han his head looks big, but that could be partially due to longer and fuller hair.

When you see pics of Harrison as Indy, with shorter hair and that big hat, his head looks smaller. When I've had the SSC head on the HT Ezio body I've used it all looks just dandy to me.

Just have to see how it goes I guess......

Jeez when you look at those three mugs side-by-side (and thanks a lot to crows for posting the pics - first time,) you realize just how little we have to work with, and appreciate the wonders that people have achieved with each of these heads. Not a lot of Ford in these parts.

I do sort of like the non-flash pic of the WGP but even then he's not instantly recognizable. The SSC looks so cherubic and is a little lacking in detail (which the HT does have,) but it probably still has the most HF to me. Someone on here actually sanded down the SSC's cheeks and achieved a better likeness - he has a little too much baby fat maybe.

I still hold out hope for this WIP as an Indy, but again, it only exists in a computer so far and we all know how iffy that is:

Cherubic is the perfect word to explain how it looks to me. Still, I'd like to see it with sanded down cheeks.

On to that computer rendering, it looks great! I don't know how that escaped my radar. That's the first time I saw it.

Funny when i see the loose render: he it's ford! When put on the indy body...mmmm isn't that ford? Lol.

Best,

Robert

That looks real nice. I'm struck by how well the clothes hang. What body are you using?

My one real hang-up with the Kato clothes is that Indy needs to be dirty and sweaty, but if I'm paying hundreds of dollars on clothes. . . they ain't gettin' dirty. :lol

The body is a HT TTM19 modified with truetype narrow arms.

I know! :lol What the hell is it with this man likeness that just wont work one way or another for us collectors. Looks great in the portrait not so much on the body. WTH.

That one in Squeak's post looks damn tasty! The Medi UU one doesn't look too shabby and could be modded.

Unmodded it reminds me of the old Kenner one.

Dude no problem at all! You know I've always got your back, your collection is amazing, full of the best grails, I'm honoured to be a part of helping to make any peice that has a place in it. I'm far too gluttonous, I wish I had the self restraint to keep a beautiful edited collection of the most amazing pieces like you do, instead I may be edging out close to 90 1/6 figures. Gotta edit!!

Agreed on both! He has the perfect version of whatever character he has in his collection.

That's high praise fellas, thanks a lot! :1-1:

The hat looks just slightly oversize - is that the same hat Raymond and Marfmaster have on their sculpts?

I actually used a different Fedora than Shorty and Ray. I used the Sideshow KOTCS Fedora (Right), as opposed to the one that comes with the shrunken sculpt (Left), so there is some variation.

Well, it's photoshop paste up of a CG render... I think he's made a great start but we'll see when it hits resin.

I don't know guys I think that the answer may lie in a reworked version of this...

blah blah recasting is the devil...

Yeah, you get banned but we'll get our Indy... take one for the team.:hi5:

I do see some Bradley Cooper in there, but I really like that sculpt. Would love to see that with a fedora. Does the hair come off and is it a PERS style head?

The paper clip mod for the jacket works like a charm. If one collar wasn't pointed upwards, I wouldn't even need to glue it down. I'll post pics after work.

WGP all the way for me. I've gone too far in that direction to pull back now.
