I do see some Bradley Cooper in there, but I really like that sculpt. Would love to see that with a fedora. Does the hair come off and is it a PERS style head?

Nope, it's by Medicom and EB (They call it Ultimate Unison.), no PERS or removable hair, what you see is what you get.

I don't know guys I think that the answer may lie in a reworked version of this...

blah blah recasting is the devil...

i agree Ray, it's the closest we have gotten so far to a 1/6 Ford. When it gets cheaper I will pick a second head up and resculpt the hair.

I'm surprised how small the WGP is, I was expecting something inbetween the HT and the SSC in terms of size. The smaller size of the head makes the hat look small even though it might be the right size for the head.

I hate myself for it, but, I'm beginning to doubt that the WGP head was the saviour we might have thought it to be... gulp! Out of your three, I might still go with the SSC.

I'd agree... SSC out of the 3. Even though it's on the large size, on a figure it looks fine after a repaint.

The head is from Ultimate Unison Han ROTJ figure. The jacket and shirt are Katos Indy stuff. The bag may be mfishers. It's not HT's that for sure. Don't know about the body.

Ah! Your the one that did it. I was trying to remember who did it. Ok, I'll give it a whirl. Thanks!

Anyway, I crinkled the sleeves a bit more and tried to get rid of some of the gloss to the jacket by weathering him a bit.

Fiend, maybe I missed it, but did you modify the head in some way? His face looks a lot narrower in this pic for some reason.

How easy are the hats to remove from the SSC heads? I only have one SSC Raiders head and I am scared to death of ruining it and never being able to find another. For the same reason even modding the hat daunts and haunts me.

My thought was to get a KOTCS head and use the hat from that, as it looked more accurate in overall shape, unless Marf modified his that is.

That said, how much luck would I have finding either a spare hatted KOTCS or ROTLA head now!?

I tried, the hat ripped, danaged the sculpt. Some people figures it out though. Force didn't work ;)

Heat it up in warm water, then GENTLY use a flathead and start to work it all the way around. Continue in a circular fashion until you can pry it off slowly. I've done it twice. That's BEFORE a repaint mind you...

:exactly:

T. Bowen gave me the same tip, but using a butter knife instead. Heat the head/hat with a hairdryer or boiling water, the use the knife or flathead in a circular motion under the hat around the top of the head. As you go, gently pry it a bit as well. Eventually it will start to give. I did it with 2 ROTLA Indy's and the SS KOTCS Indy. Worked like a charm! :hi5:

Yeah, that's kind of why I'd rather have spares before I attempt anything. I had a suspicion that heat and a screwdriver would be involved.

When I'm certain I'll have the necessary money I'll put up a WTB for the heads.

Silentsurfer has just posted some pics of his paint-ups of the WGP Indy. Amazing stuff - the ultimate paint-ups of these two heads. I'm not a huge fan of the smiling even despite unbelievably good apps including the teeth (has a bit of Dexter in there...) but the trad really shines, especially with SS's incredibly realistic heavy stubble.

Here's some pics comparing his paint-ups of the SSC head and the WGP. Obviously the SSC one is much older (maybe 3-4 yrs ago) and SS's skills have gotten even more incredible (esp. in the stubble department...) but interesting to see.

Note that I did tweak the colors subtly to make them match up a little better (the SSC pics were very red for some reason.)

I gotta be honest, Im not really seeing it. Damn. I mean his paints are always top notch but the likeness isn't there. I don't get it. I almost prefer the ss and I was never crazy about that one.

Well, based on SilentSurfer's work, I'm afraid to say that it's plain as day that the WGP is definitely not the definitive Indy sculpt. In his hands that honour will always belong to the SSC sculpt.

I have deliberately kept the majority of my comments out of the WGP thread so as not to dissuade anyone that is still awaiting theirs. That is, after all, a thread that wants to promote and sell the item, and who are we to stop them doing that!?

I'm cleaning up my SSC sculpt and will post a pic or two when I've primed it as I've never seen that sculpt in that state before.
