I still have every confidence that the WGP will perfectly fit on, compliment and finish my bash nicely. :)

The thing is with that sculpt I've seen dozens and dozens of re-paints and it makes it look drastically different. But with most he always looks chunky. Cherubic like someone said earlier, even with the best of the re-paints. I dunno. I'd really like to see it on the DX05 body.

I have one painted by Boot25 that's on a Cairo style indy build with a scultped neck Soldier Story body and one painted by Seb TOD style that's on a TT19. Funny as it might sound it really comes down to how the artist paints Trev's head that determines if Indy looks chunky or not, as Seb's looks a bit fatter than Boot's, even though the body that Seb's head is on has a thicker neck. Youd think the thicker neck would hack away any bobble head appearance from the sculpt, and not that Seb's looks anything other than awesome as it's one of my favorite figures, but there is a difference.

I see what you mean by Trev's sculpt looking a bit pudgy. But in Trev's defense, HF's face was rounder and younger in Raiders. HF was definitely pudgy in Jedi, but got more chiseled for TOD.

Ehhh, I don't think it was that rounded. Plus, I think the longer hair has a bit to do with it in Jedi. There is no doubt that HFs likeness is there especially when primed. It smacks you right in the face. I've never seen it like that before. If it was thinned out a bit it would be very, very close.

To be honest, I think it's photography that can make the difference with Trev's sculpt. In Murder's pics it doesn't look pudgy. With my two, when I see them in hand, the hatted sculpt looks smaller and narrower than the unhatted one.

Shading plays it's part too, if you shade his cheeks it looks a lot different.

I think you have an excellent Indy there! :clap

14 years ain't so bad. I have about the same span (13 years) since I started my Indy customs in 2000.

So what is the ideal "raise" on the hat after you did it and shaved it down some? 1/8 inch, less, more? Did you cast your head or hat off -- if so I'd be very interested in obtaining one.

Honestly I just eyeballed it. I've owned several professional Indy fedora replicas and the crown height was always the only thing that bothered me about the SSC sculpt. If I had to guess I'd say 1/8 was about where I ended up.

One of my favorite Indy pics, but his head is turned slightly sideways making it appear thinner. Look closer and take into account the lighted edge of his face and there again is the rounded cheeks. I think they may have knew this, if you look at pics from Raiders it's hard to find one where Ford's looking straight forward

Ooh, just able to crack off some flash shots, now you can see the hat!

Watch it repainting the hatted SSC head - it can go very shiny weeks or months after completion if not properly stripped/primed/sealed.

Wow, I've been at 1/6 customs for a bit over three years and it feels like a long time (and a lot of money...)!

Boot25, yet another incredible artist that went bad, right? So many 100% legit people on these boards go that way (just looked over the darkartist and hurricane threads)

His weight must have fluctuated because that pic you have he looks especially chunky. He doesn't look that way throughout the entire film and that's not how I see him in my head when I think of him. Going through pics I've seen more where his face is fuller like yours and others where it's a bit thinner. I know he got really sick during the making so that could have contributed to his weight loss. And really, Ford doesn't have a wide frame so only a few pounds would make a big difference. Anyway, you have the DX05 ,right? Do you have any pics of the SS head on the DX05 body? If so I'd like to see them. :)

What happened with him?

Trev's sculpt is stellar. It's the godawful material they made it out of that kills the thing sadly.

Boot had some sort of auto accident, to my knowledge... Though there might have been a few who got screwed he was a solid businessman in my dealings with him.

Funny, he was doing proto stuff for SS, like Nathan used to.
