That's so weird, about the SSC Indy PVC material. I was really worried about that happening to my repainted Old Ben, but it has zero shininess...looks just like a painted resin cast.
Watch it repainting the hatted SSC head - it can go very shiny weeks or months after completion if not properly stripped/primed/sealed.

I put the SS head on the HT Indy body early on and the proported bobblehead SS sculpt looks much better in scale than the itsy-bitsy HT head. Too bad you can't repaint the SS sculpt because of the toxic resin they used which eats away your paint or makes the head "sweat".

What?! I've never head of this. There must be a lot of people with sweaty Indy's because I've seen dozens of repaints.
I let mine soak in rubbing alcohol for 24 hours and wiped it down before painting it and have never had that issue with the shinyness
