The sculpt looks great, Sham! I have a feeling that most of the negativity some feel towards the sculpt will be overshadowed by how awesome it looks on your bash. :rock

My WGP head just came in from SS... Here are a few quick "in hand" shots...

Hands down, better than HT, no question in my mind. Best Indy head I've ever held in my hands... I will post more when my bash is ready to go. :)

Looks great in this shot. Amazing work on the eyes.

Plopped head on quick... I have to work with some putty to help it sit better, but.. Here you are...

Proper pics when I finally get my detolfs all set up.

Guys, sorry it's gonna be awhile. I have to do the whole basement and other rooms in the house. We're still in the middle of boxes, etc. I will TRY and get to it this weekend, but there are other priorities I have to take care of.

Did you get a PM to say yours was being sent? I'm still waiting for that, not sure which batch mine fell into.

Yes I did, awhile back. I was part of the first batch.

I noticed that the head (to me) sits a bit high. What's the best tool to shave down the neck hole (ie, sink it further into the head) to have it sit a tad lower? Obviously I need to be delicate with the paint job, so any advice on the right tool would help tremendously.

That's awesome man; got to respect the dedication! It's crazy how no one company was able to give us a definitive Indy. But, bits and pieces from them can add up to a great figure.

I have to agree with this.

Like has been mentioned before I also just dipped mine in rubbing alcohol and wiped away as much of the paint as I could. I'd previously had it painted by someone else, but the paint was always tacky. After I wiped away the tacky new paint and took off a layer of the sealant the repaint I did never sweated again.

Still the first and most impressive repaint I've seen of this sculpt. Les had a real eye for repaints. But sadly...

Yeah, Les has personally been a major disappointment to me. I've met the guy in person and talked with him many times. But now he's just moved on completely and left everyone in the lurch. After 3 years of waiting for a head I asked him one time when he thought it would be done and he jumped down my throat. I've written him off completely.

On a brigther note since we're sharing our customs in order to hide our pain... I really like the combo of the Saito (or maybe it was Ezio) body and SS head. I think the proportions of the two work well:

Not to mention, with some customization the Ford sculpt can be used to make a lot of great figures :lol

Well just pulled the trigger on a SS Indy head to replace the one I shipped to Les 4 years ago today. Not to mention 2 sets of hands..... I will try this again hopefully with better success. Man what horrific experience, I still envy his repaint though, never bashed him once, time to move on....

I have to admit, even with a beautiful paint job (which it is, the eyes in particular are great) I see hardly any Ford in the WGP sculpt. I have the laughing one myself, but I think it looks more like Ford unpainted! And both heads seem to be too small and elongated. Sorry, just my opinion.
:(

Can anyone answer my question about getting the neck to sit lower? I need to drill or do something to deepen the socket. What's the best tool to do that without damaging the sculpt?

I DO see plenty of Ford in there and am happy with it. It's a weird sculpt to photograph for sure. However, the sculpts did seem to get elongated in the printing process. Not enough for me to be upset, but I can see it. Maybe shortening the height in a digital file to compensate would help.

Those have been my thoughts too. I'll see what I think when I have mine in hand.

All dremel bits (the disc would be perfect) are too large in diameter. That's my issue. If they made a 1/2" diameter disc, I'd be all set.
