Can anyone answer my question about getting the neck to sit lower? I need to drill or do something to deepen the socket. What's the best tool to do that without damaging the sculpt?

I DO see plenty of Ford in there and am happy with it. It's a weird sculpt to photograph for sure. However, the sculpts did seem to get elongated in the printing process. Not enough for me to be upset, but I can see it. Maybe shortening the height in a digital file to compensate would help.

I use the small sized sanding drums... just stick 'em up there and work the bit around until you get the size you need.

One other thing I'll do to get started if there is no holes (or the sanding drum is too big), is use a thick drill bit to make a few holes in the sculpt, that means less dremmeling time and it's a bit easier to get into the neck or head.

Good call,

I gave my Dremel to my Dad years ago, I had the flexi shaft and all the cool bits. I'm tempted to ask for it back now!

I use the cone shaped grinding bits for reworking sculpts.. (Belloq's HS is a good example).. those are perfect for this application..

I have one of those, but I need to make the whole hole uniform down so the entire neck sits in flush. I will see what I can do. Thanks for the suggestions!

I see more Ford in a well-painted WGP sculpt than I do in the HT sculpt, regardless of the enlongated chin. Each -- and really every sculpt -- seems to have some issue.

But the old Trev SS head and the new WGP seem to be the best that I've seen. Rory or Marf or someone has a really great reworked HT sculpt, but I know from my own photos of that sculpt that its really the luck of the draw to get a photo that captures Ford.

I'm not sure about the Medi/UU sculpt. I see Ford but his expression isn't very Solo or Indy. It's really stern, more like his later movies like Fugitive. Curious to see it reworked with proper hair though. But again, I think its going to be on the small side.

Someone needs to hydrospan that biyatch up.

Behold, my first customization: paper clip + glued jacket collar. I think it came out pretty good. I tried to make the right collar slightly different. I think it comes off as more natural. The collars on my real US Wings Indy jacket have molded differently on each side, so that's what I went for.

Collar looks great! Excellent first mod! One of the pesky things about that sculpt is the apparent user of "guyliner" on his lower eyelid. Removing that, and adding some red highlights to his skin helps bring out the likeness.

Yeah the guy-liner and repaint are next on the list, right after my mfisher whip arrives!

Great job buddy. Strange to see an almost normal indy. All mine are modded ;).

Best,

Robert

I just got Mfisher's whip and holster set in today. Anyone who is on the fence about the set shouldn't be. His work is phenominal. Very well done and worth the money. I need to get Indy set up with his new gear. I know it will bring out the likeness more in my favorite movie character.

Yeah, I sent payment for mine today. Can't wait to get it. How does it 'flow'? Like is it 'ropey'? Not sure how to phrase that question lol.

Yes it is. It coils nicely into the whip keeper or his hand and looks movie accurate. The thong fits around the wrist too. One of the best purchases I have made in a long time. You will really like it.

Thought I'd try for an action shot, hat crown size has been very slightly lowered after my original mod at raising it.

Yup mike's work is awesome. Bought four sets from him. Own to other sets of a custom i bought from another boardmember.

Great looking indy crow :)

Oh! :slap

That's right you're the one that told us about it. :lol

I really would like to do it but it's pretty much irreversible once you re-glue the rubber torso part again.

I have a busted up Soldier Story body could I use those arms do you think? Not suire how compatible they are to the Narrow Shoulder.
