I would think you could re cut the seam if you really wanted but the rubber chest piece will set in place before glueing so you can try a "dress rehearsal" so to speak. Not sure on the soldier story, I've never tore one apart to see what it consists of

Oh! :slap

That's right you're the one that told us about it. :lol

I really would like to do it but it's pretty much irreversible once you re-glue the rubber torso part again.

I have a busted up Soldier Story body could I use those arms do you think? Not suire how compatible they are to the Narrow Shoulder.

Nice shots Murder,

Some might think that hat looks massive, but, that is how it looks when he first greets Marion in Nepal. It doesn't look that big at any other point in the movie though so that's where others may get confused. I suspect there may have been many hats and possibly only one with that height of crown.

It always amuses me that, when he's swimming to Jock's plane, the hat is completely out of shape, but, it's magically back in shape when he's clambered into the plane.

It's actually pretty deceptive to look at. In most angles the fedora crown on the sculpt looks perfect. But from the front photographs taller than it is. I think it's partly because the front edge peak of the Raiders crown is at an upward angle to the rest of the crown, making it look taller from the front. I'm going more for a Well of Souls / Desert chase look anyway.

Here is a pic demonstrating what I'm talking about, in much of Raiders Indy looks out from under a pulled down brim, when he looks up or the hat is pushed up a bit on his brow it looks taller due to the raised front edge of the crown

Nice pics, really illustrating what you mean. It looks almost Lincolnesque in the second pic. The last is more what I'm used to.

Got rid of the WGP sculpt. The paint is insanely good on sshams but honestly I don't think the likeness is much better if any than a modded HT head. And for that I'm not gonna throw down even more money to get it painted. Ill suffer through life with the HT sculpt until something worth while comes along. Its not easy being a 1/6 Indy fan.

I hear that. I just got into the 1/6 Indy scene and its crazy. To me its like a cell phone debate. If you're not on an iPhone you're on an Andrioid phone. Everyone goes for the 2 main choices. If you're not on a reworked Sideshow sculpt, you're on a reworked HT sculpt lol.

I spend like more than a thousand euros making modded indy's. In the end i could have bought a few ht indy and used but i had to ebay everything :p.

Brave move,

I really don't get what happened, when Dorgmal had it the WGP sculpt looked great. It's almost like that one got lost or damaged and they rushed out a sub. Thing is, the Smiler came out looking off too, but, yet again, that didn't look off in the early stages.

I don't know who is casting BBKill's sculpts, but, they survived intact from prototype to final, go figure!

It wasn't till I saw that Les repaint that I fully made the decision to do my own Trev sculpt again and it is looking ever more like a smart move.

I let mine soak in rubbing alcohol for 24 hours and wiped it down before painting it and have never had that issue with the shinyness

I stripped my hatless one and sprayed it with some CD cleaner (Isopropyl Alcohol), I let it soak in and then washed and re-primed the sculpt and it definitely looks better. I'm in the process of doing likewise to the hatted one.

EDIT:

Rasafrackenshashemrashem.... (Bit of Muttley there, LOL!)

Just stripped the hatless one again! Rule of thumb, try to paint as much as you can in daylight!

Interesting. I ordered the smiling one then cancelled it. Wanted to see paint-ups, but was a little underwhelmed, even with SS's incredible apps. Very strange outcome, can't figure it out.:( The head was a huge gamble for me - sculpt + paint was adding to around $250. Made me be extremely cautious and ended up bailing on it.

I'm considering casting the hatless SSC head I have and trying to attack the cast with sandpaper to reshape it sort of like what I'm doing with my Medi/SSC Yoda blend head. I'm not much of a sculpter though (or painter for that matter.)

$250?! Whoa. The sculpt was $75. Man, that's an expensive paint job.

But yeah, it really cam edown to the paint for me. I already bought the sculpt and I saw sshamms amazing paint apps and the sculpt still didn't do it for me. So I just felt did I really want to throw down another $80-$100 for a paint job for a sculpt I only felt was ok? Nah, there were other things I felt more excited about. And that's what it came down to, I wasn't necessarily excited to get it painted. That's what it's all about, being excited for a project. I just wasn't feeling it. :(

Still looking forward to sshamms set up though.

Yeah, I was going silentsurfer - deluxe all the way because I believed in the sculpt so much. Paint was more because of the hat (also maybe the smiling expression is more work than a neutral face) that had to be painted.

I thought the trad was so good that maybe me with my meager paint skills could bring it to life, but even that just didn't look like happening.

Dude...I knew he charged more than others but $175?? I had no idea. And some people go to him for all their heads. Looks like I can't afford him. :lol
