who was the guy that saw George Bush in this recast for the first time??

I'd like to punch him as hard as I can :monkey3

(yeah I find it hard to unsee now)

Just got in my sculpt and the ears really bother me. I was thinking about boiling the head and seeing if I could press them in some, so he doesn't look so much like Alfred E. Newman. Any tips on doing this?

Won't you damage the head by boiling it? Maybe with a blow dryer instead? I wonder if cutting some skin behind the ear and gluing them would work?

I did the boiling water and it worked! The ears don't stick out anywhere near as badly as they did.

Do you mean you boiled the head in cattle and after squish ears closer to head?Could you show result , please?

Hum, I would have like to try that boiling thing, but I don't want to ruin my eyes paintwork. Maybe I'll try with the blow dryer

I came home for lunch and was able to snap a decent picture, so here you go. I think fixing the ears really helps the sculpt.

Oh yes, and I didn't boil the hat, just the head.

I would assume it would be dipping the head (or just the back half) into very hot water; pushing the ears into the desired shape and then dunking it into ice water.

I've done that a lot to reshape sculpts and it holds well, but is also reversible if you don't like the result.

you can also do it by holding the head with tongs and running under a hot tap, just squeeze them with your fingers... it's a little hot but won't burn you... then hold them in position, put the tap on cold, and run it under that
