Congratulations Maulfan and with your photos you have unleashed Hell ;-)

Maybe using the Hot Toys Crow would have been easier like mentioned above, but now it is an all complete orginal and makes it more special :)

No problem for this one to be thrown for the lions.

Wow, those costumes are amazing!!!

Yeah, it looks great in those lighter shots. Can really see the nice detail.

Congrats Shawn :D

Yes, the HT head is great. But I don't recast heads, I prefer to sculpt my own. Even if I have to take 2 or 3 turns at bat to match something else people like, I would still rather do it that way than recast.

Anyway, how does this one strike you? Keep in mid, it's WIP:

Hi friend , first : congratulate you for the work you did, i imagine the hard work to sculpt a face . Second : my apologies for the previuos comment . In some photos looks like Burt , ( for me ). and third : the nose like big , don't you think ? .

I wandered out of the DC section in hopes of finding a place where I can get parts to assemble a Craig Bond for Father's Day but instead I find this... I need one of these! LOVE that movie. LOVE Maximus. Seriously I'd rather have this over more HT Batmans.

Just my two cents here........... The eye lids and cheeks look like they're swollen as if he's got an allergic reaction to multiple bee stings. And the lips look like they're puckered up like he ate some sour candy.

Other than that, good detail on the armor and helmet! Looks good! Keep it up :rock

This is what I'm going with. After I've given him hair and a beard, of course. It's the sculpt from Sean's photos, modified. When I originally posted that sculpt unpainted, everyone loved it. I couldn't figure out what the hell went wrong. It was his eyes. I have a tendency to set eyes to eyes too deep sometimes, and that can really ruin a portriat; that Herman Munster effect. It seldom shows with unpainted sculpts, since it just reads as a random shadow and people overlook it. But paint really brings that out. 90% of a person's life is in the eyes. Screw that up and the portriat's accuracy and realism are gone.

I brought his eyes forward, with thinner eyelids, and reworked the forehead a bit. I now it freaks some of you out when I paint the eyes without painting the face :D It's just easier to see what you're working with when you have EYEballs and not just balls.
