I don’t think any legal action can be taken unfortunately due to stolen rights in the USA but I do believe reading about legality rights and re producing unlisenced properties in China being different somehow. Not sure if that applies to Korea too.

My personal opinion is that I don’t really believe any of the garbage that the 31 post guy is spreading. Mostly just because as an artist I know for a fact that MJ, Jnix are different people as are many of the artists that work with iminime. They clearly have different styles and nuances as artists. No way it’s the same sculptor. I’ve also dealt with many of those guys on a personal level as a customer and know they are not the same person. That’s ridiculous. im not saying they all might not have been affiliated with iminime at some point. It’s true obvoisly Denny has employed a lot of artists and it’s orobably true they went off and did their own thing after. How else to people get exposure and a break in the biz? Gotta start somewhere.

As for redman, again I don’t know anything but to me it would make sense thst some of these factories who make this stuff for pennies in China and have ties to all these artists and their work simply sneak this **** in on the side to make money off it.

Denny clearly works with iris, sinag, Mina, ka, rainman etc. etc. we know who these people are and their work. It’s not hard for the factories who produce this stuff to get ahold of their work and figure out how to replicate it on a mass level. They don’t need to have anything to do with any of the artists or Denny Kim.

Also anyone who has dealt with HBOs aggressive as **** lawyers would know there’s absolutely no way they didn’t go after Denny when they saw the figure and why he had to go quiet after that. Did he sell it to a private collector after he decided not to make it? Some of these guys, often in Saudi Ariabia (but of course not limited to) have ooodles of cash and will pay no limit for this stuff. You made a one off and HBO said you couldn’t produce it. Some guy offers you an arm and a leg for it, you’re not going to make it anyways and it’s a one off peice of art. What’s wrong with selling it? I’d do exactly the same.

Also for the record it’s not the most accurate Jon snow out there anymore by a mile.

All I’m saying as Denny has a right to be upset about the slander that this guy is spreading and as customers of this product for years we should all know more about it to logically see why there is a lot of BS in some of the statements he’s making as fact.

So when he’s saying he’s behind redman and the things he’s using as an argument for that are such a weak foundation use your best judgment. He doesn’t know anything more than anyone else and he’s enjoying stirring the pot. Plain and simple.

Just the fact someone who makes money from using other company's IP's illegally is making threats to sue someone is what we find hilarious. It would be the most hilarious thing to ever see brought up in a court. Saying they're slandering me for being these other people who also make money from illegaly selling other's IP. I for one enjoy being an owner of some Redman sets, but to give some unsolicited advice I would just lie low and ignore criticisms to make it possible for customers to continue enjoying such sets in the future...like maybe, finally Mel Gibson Mad Max figures from the first two movies and previously undone characters from the 1982 Blade Runner!

I don’t think I’ve ever bought a redman item outright but I’ve surely bought it reworked parts of them for whatever variety of reasons or to use wirh things that the original item was ripped off from.

I don’t condone recasting at all but you get what you pay for. A ****** cheap recast will look bad plain and simple. Like these shiny orange oompa loopa looking lethal weapon sculpts for example...

Even though the artist should still be getting a cut off the profit and that part is wrong about it their original priced and limited editions are in no way devalued.

You're only looking at the posts that suit your narrative.

If you take the time to read back through, most of us do not agree with Bisonbones1 conspiracy theory of them all being the same person. Why this thread has exploded a bit is because you have someone who makes unlicensed figures threatening court action here in the US.

So explain how he should be getting a cut of illegal figures copying his illegal figures? That's crazy.

I don't condone recasting either, but an artist hasn't got a leg to stand on regarding complaining when they do.

This doesn't really affect them financially because people who buy Redman are generally not willing to pay Rainman and Iminime prices.

They're still good figures for the cost, your opinion about "orange and shiny" not withstanding.
