And it makes me take a hard look at my Sideshow collection of Star Wars figures. There's something wrong with every single one of them. That's a real problem.

If you need two snowies, then it makes sense to have one from each company. Just for nostalgia sake I guess.

Problem with Bossk is there's really no excuse for a 2nd version (regardless of the ROTJ appearance).

I'll stick with my v. 1. Love that EX sculpt. Might sell off my Snowtrooper depending on what I can get for it.

Don't you also own a Ben who needs his jedi robes to be recognizable as Alec Guinness, Richard Hatch as Han Solo, a stormtrooper with a 1980's Don Post mask for a helmet, a Chewy with face only a Macaque could love (or a cat for V.2) and a too-tall Vader with gnarly little girl hands and a sound system you need to pull his pants down to use? Oh... and all made by HT?

The hype train's always a tricky one to ride.

HT has been anything but "one and done purchase" with their released SW figs so far, yet people seem to LOVE to forget that.

Totally agree TaliBane. I don't think HT Star Wars likenesses are that great.

Still don't love the wrist articulation cuts but this looks very nice.

If they had swapped out the older-style white bib for the newer Luke X-Wing pattern it would have been awesome though.

I'm actually considering getting this V2 because it's improved, but still see a reason to keep the V1 because it's different, original and does have a cool factor. It's all the other rehashing and outdoing that's pissing me off. I mean I barley opened my Scouts (1 Ex, 2 reg) and it wouldn't be far fetched for HT to come along with an improved effort in the way-too-near future. My R2 & 3PO already feel dated (or inferior) just by first glance at HT's. 3 Snowies and an IG-88 that now feel outdone. I didn't bother looking into the SS Boba thread, so I'm not sure if the rehash is an improvement on my original yet.

It's annoying that SS is redoing the BH's. Sure, they're all a few years old already and the hobby has come a long way since then, but the improvements they've implementing are things that could have easily been done the right way the first time. An accurate head and paint jobs??!! WTF. I mean they have a full catalog of dated crap that desperately deserves a true brand new V2 (Boushh, Emperor, Jedi Luke, etc., etc.), but instead we're getting recycled figs that were pretty decent when the came out 3 years ago.

It's bad enough I'm half kicking myself for getting SS's Hoth Han & Luke and Red Five, but it'll really twist my nads if I see PO's for their HT replacements anytime soon

I see zero improvement in IG-88 v2. Less accessories, identical sculpt. If you are refering to the paint, the original proto paint was just as good as this proto's. IG is purely for those that missed out.
