1:6 Scale Sideshow Old Ben Kenobi

I bought mine from a comic shop online and according to FED EX he should be delivered today , along with ANH Leia. But for some reason the FED EX site has been stuck on in transit since the 26th of DEC, yet it still has today as the delivery date. Usually their site is pretty accurate. I'm rambling on, I just want Ben already dammit!

I say Han wears it when he's giving Chewbacca his monthly bath, and it's to keep the Johnson & Johnson Gentle Shampoo for Wookiees & Ewoks from getting in his eyes. Chewie is a little fussy-butt in the tub.

Nu-uh. If you read Kevin J Anderson's books I'm sure it states clearly that they now use no more tears formula.

At least I assume Anderson would have written that. It might be too good of a plot point for one of his SW books...

I could, but I didn't even water treat the figure. While the shirt is an odd choice, the only thing I did was give him a belly, and that was only after I shot it for RS...

i might do one for Boushh though...

Hey here's my Laundry Day question. Ive got some Top Stick coming to keep everything in place.. will it hold through much water treating? Easy to get off with no harm to the fabric (assuming yes on this one)?

Also I remember that there was like 1 guy working to get stuff shipped before the holidays so I think that added to a lot of delays. Not to mention how the ordering got jacke-up during the PPO probably playing a factor in shipped order.

But I've got mine so I can't complain

Watertreratment has no effect on top stick. I can tell you that without a doubt.

Good deal. I think Ben will be the first to get this treatment. Figure Top Stick the tabbards and some of the excess of the robe in the back or into folds and then water treat his kimono like robe and then the hooded robe. Then go and try Top Stick on Leia. I think Ben will be the figure everyone has the most fun with though.

We're in almost exactly the same boat, DR. Mine is due tomorrow, but FedEx has not been updated since the 28th. Here's hoping for a pleasant surprise tomorrow...

Oh, it'll hold all right. I suggest when using Top Stick and water to opt for warm water, not hot.

As for removing the Top Stick, it's always wise to heat it up with a blow dryer first

No, seriously, I liked Star Wars Tales, and Jawa Force. Since I wrote Jawa Force I'm a bit partial. Haven't read it? Go find it and read it. That's how I'd handle the EU if I wrote SW comics...

ARGH! Well time to start thinking up an alternative. Was there any damage done or will it just not hold? As for the water, any advice if Im planning to use distilled water at room temperature? I usually use a spray bottle to wet the figure Im working on and so the water is almost always out at room temp.

I'm trying to come up with a plan for Leia. I'm thinking pliable aluminum tape might work, but that would be permanent, and I try not to do anything that can't be undone.

It'll be tough. I think SSC 1/6 scale Old Ben is going to be the equivalent of going on a date and the girl tells you something like "My last boyfriend was a pornstar". Some things you just can't beat.

Hope Dave is talking about the same but I was meaning ANH Leia. Wanted to use top stick to gather some of the dress in the back and put folds in the front.
