If you look at ANH, Ben's undershirt looks to be a light cotton, almost T-shirt material. I think I can do better with some of these microweave fibers out there...

That's very true, the shirt supplied by SS has a textured pattern that is more like a sweater than the actual t-shirt-like shirt Ben wore in the film. If you do find a suitable one let us all know. It would definitely be worth the upgrade. Some of the brown t-shirts that come with Dragon soldiers might work as the collars are often more mock-neck-like than actual t-shirt necks and the material is closer to a smooth cotton.

BTW, love the paint work you did on Ben. I want to see your Leia now. Maybe you can post a pic of the two together.

Adam, I bet you can just fold the turtleneck collar down back inside the shirt and stitch a few places to hold and it will look fine. Maybe even a small roll in it for true accuracy since he does have a bit of a mock-neck thing going on there. I gonna do that to mine anyway, some stitching and ironing and it should hold a good shape.

You can roll it under, but I think Top Stick would be the trick instead of stitching.

BTW, the best pre-existing shirt to use is the Anakin inner shirt. Just pop it on backwards and Top Stick it down in the back :)

Here is my crappy pic, and how I'm trying to display my figs..

Damn I love that lightsaber. one of my favorites next to the mace se

Its amazing Adam ! Can you paint mine for me please? :)

I like the shot with the ice cream too ! I always wondered why the front of his beard looked that way ! :lol

I wouldn't say this looks like a lightsaber. More like fire or something being, you know, blasted.

To go back to the whole blastshield helmet conversation for a moment - I always assumed it was more the equivalent of some type of welding/repair protection that Han had around the Falcon as he or Chewie are usually blowtorching something to repair the ship. Or that this type of helmet had both visors, the opaque yellow one on the inside and the solid blast shield on the outside - ultimate eye protection all in one helmet.

Thanks for posting those shots Adam - they look amazing! :rock

Thanks.... Old Ben is getting there, tweak by tweak!

The helmet with blast shield COULD be a welding/repair protector.... it could be a safety device for starship crashes...... it could be a courtesy cover for really ugly pilots.

I say Han wears it when he's giving Chewbacca his monthly bath, and it's to keep the Johnson & Johnson Gentle Shampoo for Wookiees & Ewoks from getting in his eyes. Chewie is a little fussy-butt in the tub.

We think alike. The Dragon shirts are what I am looking at! I haveta see if I have one in my many bins of toy parts before I order one, but I agree it looks like the best option.

I'll post some Leia pics ASAP!

Nope. Not sure what it's from, though.

Adam?

This company in Japan does these little 1/6 scale food item sets, and a friend gifted me with the dessert one. The detail on these items is HOT TOYS-level. They're all over eBay. Search "1/6 scale" and "food" in Collectibles.

It's great stuff, but I'm not sure what my Medicom Boba Fett needs with a waffle iron, y'know?

mine shipped the 27th and still nothing. i have to wait till Friday...damn it seems like people have had this fig for a month now....oh wait, they HAVE!

Hopefully to alleviate frustration.... Trevor and I both work for Sideshow, so we got comped ours straight from the office. D. Martin is a reviewer, and as such, got his early for purposes of critical review.

A non-industry pal of mine just got his today, so they are on their way.

Awww...

Melvin Fett always made me smile...

Old Ben seems to be a hit...will sideshow be able to top it???
