Chavez- :) Well, nobody hates to admit it more than me, but I'm sure there will be some pieces that are generally a let down to most, and others that folks are emphatically positive about. No artist/painter/sculptor or otherwise can escape it! :D But I try my damnedest I assure everyone.

I will feel a great sense of loss when the time comes that you no longer sculpt for Sideshow

Oh Sideshow would thrive without me, but I can tell you now, wild horses couldn't drive me away! I love working with these guys. I'm still very much a greenhorn in this 'business', but they treat me with utmost respect. A mutual loyalty in this kind of work is pretty rare, but when you get to work with people that are worth being loyal to...it's something you don't want to give up! :)

I'm not supporting a family though, so I get to be very selfish in my decisions.

hahaha! Gizzard...yep, that's a good 'Old Man' quality.

I'm really humbled by how openly you collectors here and elsewhere welcome in my contributions. I'm honestly flying by the seat of my pants on a daily basis! I suppose that's part of the thrill.

There will be bad work along the way, I assure you. But you all are very encouraging and that's really greatly appreciated.

the best sw sculpt to date. awesome job trev. but please be cautious of your appreciation of good reviews and the openness of these guys towards your work. the first iffy sculpt, and these guys will feed you to the lions. :lol

but seriously, the attention to facial detail is nothing short of sculpting excellence. hopefully the factory will apply a great paint to compliment. does the artist ever supervise the paint process? if it were my baby, i'd be obsessing over it if it were any less than perfect. hopefully you have some say as the creative process continues through manufacturing the piece.

best of luck to you. mine will be here tuesday. :)

I'm glad I didn't cancel this figure. Those photos of the unpainted head..... it's just..... y'know ............ amazing! :bow :bow :bow

it's better than any full size sculpts I've seen... simply a thing of beauty, and I can't wait to get mine and paint it (I have to do that now... out of habit more than anything, lol)

Trev...... well done Sir :rock

Thanks for posting the head sculpt Trevor, its wonderful to see it in its original form... but even greater that some much of the quality and feeling of the sculpt got translated into the final product. Just stellar work :rock

HE is here... the Force is with him!

Got mine yesterday. All I can do is say that all of the rave reviews posted here are understatements! I've never had a figure before that I just place on my display, shape the wardrobe a bit and say "done".

I know some of us will be doing repaints, etc. because that's what we love to do. On this figure I have to say that if you do decide to do a repaint, unless you're going for a totally custom interpretation or look, you'll just be doing it for exercise. Its THAT GOOD!

I've never seen a figure that conveys the true presence of a character like this one does. An incredible tribute to Trevor and to the finish team. This is the one.

OK, so my Obi Wan arrived yesterday. I know it's all been said, but I opened the box flap and got my first look at this thing and it is eerily real looking! It looks freakishly lifelike! From the sculpt , down to the paint apps, this has to be THE best figure that I have ever owned in my 36 years of collecting. If you think this figure looks great in pictures, wait till you see it in person! This has to be the best figure of this line.

Got mine excellent.

I remember the rumor that Lucas was planning on using CGI to redo the ANH duel between Vader and Kenobi in the style of Yoda and Dooku. :lol

Well at this point with all the monkeying around LFL has done with the films, I'd love to see an improved Ben/Vader duel.

In all honesty, it wouldn't hurt my feelings either. I just can't see ANH Vader being this terrifying figure in the SW galaxy. I know he was sporting a cyborg body, but Grievous was pretty swift. It doesn't match up. With any luck, maybe we'll see it for the HD-DVD release.

I actually like the duel in ANH. I think it always looked like Vader was toying with OLD Ben. Poor old guy couldn't do what he used to. It always looked like Obi-Wan was trying to buy time for Luke & Co. and he did. Any more and it becomes a parody of it's former self. Old Ben doing gymnastics is too silly a concept for my mind. Leave it alone.

Me too. As much as I love the original on its own. When viewed during a marathon showing it painfully anti-climactic to me.
