Nice contributions guys, keep it coming, it's actually dissappointed me a bit how such a great figure went from the most worthy topic of conversation to yesterday's news. Still lots to enjoy with this figure.

Nothing special for pictures, but now that I've completed my ANH stills, I've gone and furthered my customizing to give Ben a bit more paunch in the midsection. I started the stills one way so I didn't want to have him looking different all of a sudden. So here he is with bigger belly and lowered belt, which helps alot in matching some old Guiness poses, he had his belt quite low.

Big props to Wor-Gar, his final, futzed Old Ben was inspiration for what could be achieved with this figure if you tried, and now more than ever he is everything I could want him to be.

Impressive Hurricane, though maybe it's the photo, he almost seems too ESB/ROTJ in his bulk, Vader seemed a bit slimmer in ANH.

i think a spot of water treatment on the cape with rectify this, its fresh of the sewing machine and needs to hang for a while.thanx for pointing it out sometimes you cant see the woods for the trees:eek:

Great job catching the prominence of the sunglass tinted eye pieces, a very distinguishing part of ANH Vader's mask.

I'm still waiting on mine to ship from Fireside collectibles. Maybe I'll have it before Luke ships. Someday...

Wow Man....I wish I could have a Vader Like that....Great pics hurricane!!

Speaking of Hurricane and Maulfan... Today was THE day to be in the DA house. I arrived at work today, hungover and downtrodden... My favorite team lost the most important game of the year yesterday and I was feeling it (still wore my Pats hat anyway, to prove my dedication :D). And as the mail lady came in, holding a box from the UK.

It was my ROTS Hurricane Vader, a prize of my collection. Something, as a fellow customizer, I am honored to have amongst my repainted figs. After drooling over that for a few hours and trying to work... I got home to my in laws house and what is there waiting for me?? A gift from Sean (Maulfan himself)!!

My very own Ben Kenobi. After SSC lost mine and wouldn't replace it... He very kindly offered up his extra to me, out of the kindness of his heart. And to recieve it today, after our mutual team lost the game... was a nice pick up. So here are a few shots, Cane Vader fresh out of the box and a futzed Obi...

Obi will be repainted soon, too... just have to do some catchup with commissions before I can devote myself to that.

Nice setup Josh, glad he got to you safe and sound :duff At least it was Super Monday for us, I got my P2 Pred today, and Palps tomorrow :rock

Thanks Sean! Awesome that it was a good day for you as well! My Palps arrives tomorrow too, I hope that I can set time aside for the two of them as well as Obi here soon. So far All I did was wrap a rubber band around Obi's waist to hold his turtleneck down really low on his neck... works great. Now he just needs a repaint and added belly. :lol

Thanks a lot guys, I'm glad to have him in hand at loooong last. I owe it all to Sean, best gift ever bro. :duff

Enjoy him Josh, one of Sideshow's finest. That's what I did too funnily enough. I pulled the turtleneck down and held it in place with elastic, then I put the pants up, then molded some tissue for his belly, then put an elastic around that to keep it in place and put on his outter robes. It helps a lot to if you close his robes to make the V longer down his medsection, and then put his belt fairly low too as that's how Guinness wore it.

He's the best they've done. No matter how bad the photo, he always looks great.

Can I point out just how ridiculous it is that my retailer is still waiting on his Obi -wan shipment? :emperor

Have there been any other significant delays for this figure? Or am I an anomaly in this regard?
