Just looking so far I'd say an 8-8.5 out of 10.

Ok, Josh is a bud, but given the figure in question, this has to be done.

"I felt a great disturbance in The Force, as if millions of voices cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced."

He looks great.

The sculpt is flawless and it looks like he a very nice paint work. Looks like a figure came along that will dethrone Kit Fisto as the best figure.

Job well done SS.

He's trying to shake the "Sideshow Homer Syndrome". Sorry Joshie, ain't happening :lol

Yeah, it is pretty funny that the BEST SSC SW figure is underwhelming for Josh.

I hope that your feelings change when you have it hand bro, it looks fantastic already.

One word. WOW.

That about sums it up. This isn't out of the park, it's out of the galaxy! Simply stunning...it looks like the "A" team at the factory did good with the paint apps...the sculpt is incredible, the outfit looks first-rate.

And Dave's gallery showcases him quite well (that shot Khev posted is chill-inducing in a good way...just great)...

I'm stunned Josh isn't impressed...and I agree with whomever it was in an earlier post who commented that this sculpt actually looks better than the PF one (Dave's got a side-by-side in his gallery that shows it) just like the 1:6 Leia does...

What a wonderful way to wrap the year...last year it was Maul, this year the man who killed him. Pretty cool....thanks Sideshow!

I think this looks better than the PF because of the style differences, and not to say either is better than the other, just to me personally. I'm a detail freak, and Trev's got a very detailed style to his sculpting and that adds a great deal more depth to the portraits. Mat Falls, who did the PF Kenobi, has a more simplistic, softer style, and it works well for some characters and representations, but with Kenobi, I prefer the defined wrinkles and the microscopicly defined hair strands in the beard. This was to be THE Old Ben for me, and now that we see how he's turned out, I know that he IS the Old Ben I dreamt of.

Yeah, I was hoping to see a comparison shot... and the 1/6 really does look better and more detailed to me.

OK, this is a really nice figure. No way the final likeness is better than the PF - that one was dead on - this is a close second - there is just a tad too much facial line action going on. I would give this a solid 9/10

looking at both, the PF is amazing. It's very well painted and looks like Obi-Wan. No doubt. The 1/6 scale looks dead on to Alec Guinness performing Obi-Wan Kenobi.

There is no doubt the PF has the better paint job, but the PF has one of the best paint jobs in that collection (second only to farmboy Luke). That's not saying the 1/6 scale paint job is bad. For a very accurate comparison, check out the Sarah Connor figure. Both it and Obi-Wan have a similar wash.

I dunno why Josh is so negative about this figure, but I'm sure once he has one in hand, he'll like it.

Okay, Josh isn't saying it's bad, just that he's not as overwhelmed as expected. I'm sure once we all have it in hand that we'll be better equipped to evaluate the figure.
