It looks like with RS getting Old Ben first and Dusty getting married Josh just might be done with Sideshow.

Yeah, it is pretty funny that the BEST SSC SW figure is underwhelming for Josh.

Okay, Josh isn't saying it's bad, just that he's not as overwhelmed as expected. I'm sure once we all have it in hand that we'll be better equipped to evaluate the figure.

Maybe he's saying it to prove that he's not one of Sideshow's mindless minions; this way, when somebody accuses him of being biased on SSC's part, people will say "but no, he wasn't impressed with Old Ben's paint job, and that was the best one of all!" Very very clever!

I saw ANH as a kid. I must say, that although I thought old Ben was Ok, he was never one of my favorites. After the PT and Ewan's interpretation of young Obi Wan, I have a renewed interest in old Obi Wan. He is a much more complete character, at least to me. Now I am feverishly looking forward to this figure. Did this happen to anyone else?

I wouldn't think Old Ben would be a favorite of many kids, just because he doesn't have the appeal of Luke or Han. I know I was more of a Luke fan when I was younger. But yes, I like the way the character of Obi-wan developed throughout the entire series, and he is now probably my favorite character.

I disagree. I think they make it look very shiny and don't do the figure the the justice it will recieve once we all see it in hand. Dave usually does a SUPER job just not this time IMO. I hope its not being taken personally. RS does a great job getting all the latest SW news but they've got a lot of contacts which helps.

Totally agree, I think without his great performance the PT would have lost a lot of its finer points. Not that he was the only actor that could have pulled it off, but he really did an excellent job.
