Someone shared this on FB earlier. I know prototypes are a "best case scenario" kind of thing but that pic really does make that headsculpt look so plastic. Hoping that it's a bad picture and not representative of the final product. I didn't mind deadpool too much but the slightly baggy costume knocked it down a notch. Hence why I bought it for less than $180 on eBay.
Please be good I really want a decent non tv/movie punisher headsculpt.
Also this isn't representative of my own opinions just interested in the before/after pics

Davo shared this one says its not as bad as that original picture.

Admittedly, that doesn't look too bad. I have the VTS Revenger figure, so i'm not in a big rush to get another Punisher. But depending on reviews, I might pick this up at some point.

I think it looks pretty good and that is shot from a low angle with flash. Almost all heads look like **** under those conditions. For me, the skull is the farthest from the proto. It was ghosted and broken up. The production piece is bright white, solid with a crumbly edge. I'm not sure if it's good or bad but it definitely is different than the original. They also dumped most of the leather weathering.

I thought he looked okay in the Mark Chuah pics but he looks pretty cheap there. Especially considering he'd be $260+ after shipping.

Wait until BBTS sends out a 40% off email.

Wow this thing seriously looks like the crap sideshow used to do for 50$ back in the day. They have horrible standards now on their own figures.

and they have no desire to change them

Why can Hot Toys replicate their prototypes, but Sideshow can't?

This looks really cheap. Guess I'll just buy the parts and weapons loose. Even the skull on this shirt looks bad. The prototype looked so much better being faded.

Well... no disrespect to a pretty awesome company but I think I'll just make a punisher custom instead.

I am a little disappointed. Still going to wait to see some in-hand pics and reviews, but this time the production sculpt is definitely a step back. Looks like they tried to add some realism and color to the skin, but something is off. Below are the 2 sculpts (albeit different poses and lighting), but it looks like the production head is wider or something...

Wow, hopefully in hand looks better. If not, I'm not at all upset I cancelled mine. Really wanted him to battle my Deadpool but if this is the true look of the finished product, no thanks. Where's his sweet removable TAC vest?
