He looks about as dark as the Vimal sculpt, so that's not too bad in comparison.

Thanks for the head Sideshow.

I have the Vimal sculpt. The SS one looks a little darker in your pic. Is it worse in hand?Vimals is not that dark, trust me.

After getting this figure in hand today I can say that the darker skin on the head is significantly less of an issue in person. The paint looks fine too when its not a zoomed in photo with harsh lighting. I'd argue it actually looks pretty good and doesn't come off as too dark in contrast to the black suit hes rocking. Overall, the figure is pretty good but absolutely not a $250 figure. I snagged him for $200 (with shipping) on Ebay and for that price hes great.
One thing I didn't notice in the stock photos is his sweater is only a sweater on the sleeves - the chest is a different material. Its smooth and doesnt have the ribbed pattern of the arms and fitted skin-tigh twith a more costume like texture. You can clearly see the chest and ab definition through it which is pretty cool and way more like the comic tights look than I expected. I do wish they went with a more comic looking skull for the shirt though. The skull looks cool but I wish I knew why they chose to go with an original skull design vs a more recognizable one (from the comics or even the early 2000s movie chest logo , that in itself is pretty iconic now). For whatever reason, the promo shots use the classic skull but more faded - but the actual production figure is absolutely an original skull but is far more visible vs faded in the promos. Still, it does look good... just different. I'll definitely be sticking with the shirt vs the flak jacket though that looks pretty ok too (not a fan of the teeth being cut off though). . The lack of more realistic gun designs is a bummer but they did go with some cool designs so I wont fault them too much - and its super easy to fix that issue if need be.
If I had ANY complaint (and I don't have many) is that his boots are a solid piece rather than the two piece style we've been seeing a lot of over the last few years. The lack of ankle movement really sucks and limits posing options. Secondly, none of the hands hold the rifle very well. As such, its a struggle to get into a good pose where hes holding the rifle realistically. Lastly, the sleeves on the shirt side up the arm and expose the plastic arms way too easily - they should have either made the sleeves longer or more fitted to help avoid this. I'm sure with some futzing I can pinch them in the hands/gloves to keep them in place or even result to a dab of glue but its an obnoxious (though very very minor) issue to deal with.
Still, like I said - those issues are not a deal breaker by any means. If you can get this figure for the $200 range like me and its a super solid buy. If you like Sideshow's Deadpool then you'll probably like this. I can even see demand for this going up as time goes on as word gets out that this was a very well done non film Marvel figure. They are very similar in construction but I find Punisher is far less of an issue to get set up. He doesn't have the pouch issue that DP did and all of his belts and harnesses are pretty well futzed right out of the box (side-arms are already in the holsters too).
I was already really pumped for SS attempt on my Boy, Wolverine - but this just amps that anticipation even higher.
Just got on Ebay and bought the exclusive version for 205 with shipping included.
