I love Snowtroopers and, for the most part, this is an awesome figure.. BUT, those hands are comically huge, even cartoon looking and that along with the dopey eyes are making me hesitate on buying the figure.

I swear, every time I look at pics of the visor/eyes, all I can see is this:

Well I own one and as I post this i will order the gun. Hell why not. The hands I take it you have never been in - 0 weather. The gloves are fine as with the boots. The helmet is also fine. I paid $161. 24 ship with ith tax. Me I am happy.

Come on, just drop the cash be happy. And stop complaining.

Microjaws pictures alleviated any worry I had about this figure. Not that I had many. I don't invest much in the over analyzing of trooper domes, so inaccuracies have little effect on me. I was more worried about the weathering from Sideshow, and it looks like they did an excellent job.

Thanks for the excellent shots Micro.

And thanks for the terrible ones, Khuez.

Than ks for the pics guys. The Snowtrooper looks really nice. I need to have it in hand to compare it closely to screen used pics but so far looks ok. Wish the eyes were a bit bigger and there should be a small rivet on top of the helmet - screen used helmet pics:

I think the gloves are quite distorted by a macro lens in a few of those pics. Gloves are no where near as large looking on the other pics.

The gloves are supposed to be more beefy than Stormie gloves obviously, and the SSC ones are a little oversized but more on the scale of the SSC boba (ie. slightly noticeable if you're looking for it,) but not cartoony.

And as discussed, the dopey eyes are a pretty easy fix. Fortunately the Snowie helemt is very simple (unlike stormie) - then again, doubly strange that SSC would get the details wrong... when there are so few details!

I live in Canada, so I've experienced a winter or two, and unless I'm wearing hockey gloves, I don't walk around with gigantic cartoon hands. Also, for a toy that's pushing $200, I'll complain about whatever I feel like, if you don't mind. I also said, before anything else, that the figure looked awesome and just had those two issues, the dopey eyes and hands, that were making me hesitant.

Well, I hope what you say is true about the gloves and it's just the pics, some of them look pretty bad.

Like you said, it really is strange that Sideshow would overlook the few details that keep the figure from being one of their best, I don't really get it, but seems to be their MO lately.

Hell, based on these pics, this figure is PERFECT!!! Very nice pics, fellas!
I'm thinking this is a homerun. Like Squeak said, you gotta chalk some of the glove deal up to the macro lens and perhaps a bit of foreshortening in the view.
Awesome!:hi5:

You said it... mine will be here next week so soon find out. It's always so weird to view tons of pics (some good, some bad,) read tons of comments(some good, some bad,) then... have it in hand in front of you, you as the sole judge.

I was blown away by the Tusken despite his hands being a little undersized and arms being a little short. So a few minor nits do not spoil and otherwise 10/10 fig.

And the costume gloves are a little bigger/bulkier than I remember them being, so maybe SSC does know what they are doing :)lol:pigfly:)...
