Hands are actually quite big IMO... but to me that's not an issue...
I'm more bummed about the fact that they are really soft plastic... and no hand can really hold the Hasbro vintage weapon...

But, I still love it and will be getting a second one for sure!! !

I hope the cannon ends up as GC item...

Know what? The eyes don't bother me. At first, when I was seeing all the pictures, I thought they looked terrible, but in person they're not so bad.

Man, I have to say, that looks fantastic! The weathering is top notch, as are the smaller details. Another home Run for SS.

The eyes look totally fine to me.

As for the dome of the helmet, the first pics looked horrible, but I'm starting to think that it was just the angle, mostly. MicroJow's pics make it look much better. Thanks for posting these, Jow!

As for the hands, they're huge and ugly. Like Boba Fett's. But that's not enough to hold me back. I'm a huge fan of the Snowtrooper, and I may very well purchase this figure.

It is absolutely fantastic... the boots weathering is top notch.

It's weird... looking at my last photo, it looks like the dome is totally rounded, but looking at the figure in person, it doesn't look so round. Maybe it's a trick of the lens or something.

While I wait for my remaining photos to make their way into my in box, here are my quickie thoughts on this guy: the smell that hits you upon opening the box is insane. Stronger than the smell of opening an old Marvel Legend. The figure works. The chest armor sits at an odd angle and those little straps that connect it to the backpack suck (and keep popping out) but overall, it's a Snowtrooper, plain and simple.

Try to change my mind all you like, but Darth Vader, in my opinion, was awful. Boba Fett was extremely disappointing. Bossk is great. This comes closer to Bossk than it does to Vader or Fett.

In closing, I offer you the following prediction of doom and gloom: I expect the new Vader to look exactly like it did at Comic Con and in that teaser photo: crappy. It does not matter how much we complain, Sideshow is going to do what Sideshow is going to do. All WE can do is not buy it if we don't like it.

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think Sideshow is going to change anything about Vader's helmet. At Comic Con, a Sideshow employee asked me to point out, exactly, what it was that I felt was wrong with Vader's helmet. I offered my opinion. I expect that opinion went in one ear and out the other.

The Vader they had on display at Comic Con looked like it had the same head as the ANH Vader: surprised-looking. If they fix it, great! I will buy it. If not, I'll be saving my money.

With the Snowtrooper, I'm glad I spent the coin.

Yep, those are my thoughts exactly...

I wasn't too happy about the Vader dome and about Fett in general, but this one is a home run!! !!

Funny about the too-large hands - yeah Boba's were the same - because today I'm swapping my SSC Tusken's tiny girl hands for the SSC Indiana jones gloved hands (which actually color-wise look better.) Seems like SSC hands are either oven mitts or Hasbro 3 3/4" scale - weird.
