Hey Guys

Well here is a little update on the Space Wolves Marine, I still have heaps to do with small details and weathering. I'll head down to the local craft shop and see if I can find some fur as well.

Hey Guys

Crimsonbob & idreamoftoshiba - Thanks guys and the fur is going to be for fur pelts. The SW had them attached to their armour plus soughted runes and bone trickets.

Ron

Superb stuff Ron , I love that colour scheme . I'm looking forward to see what you do with the fur , as I was toying with using some myself . ( As well as leather , I'll be going for a "nordic/norse" feel !)
Love it .:clap

Hey Guys

clparker04 & thundergod - Thanks heaps guys I'm nearly done with him only have to do the runes/bone trickets and a few purity seals.

thundergod - A "nordic/norse" feel, I can't wait to see that mate.

Ron

Thanks for the crotch piece Mark :)
Making slow progress on mine. Still can't get my head around sticking the armour to the base body. You guys just use crazy/super glue??
Nice work Hemble. Coming along a treat

Yeah superglue m8. If you have already painted it and want to heat it so it shapes better for the joins use a hairdryer.

Cheers m8. Yeah I'm debating painting it first then gluing to the body and filling the gaps, touching up etc.
I think the main issue is the chest piece not fitting over the crotch/stomach part. I'll need to dremel the inside of it a bit and maybe shave a bit off the base body too. Hopefully that'll do the job :)
Went to Hobbycraft and B&Q on Sat and bought some bits n' bobs to stick on. It's getting there...

Yeah give it a good dremel until all the joins meet. I painted all mine and just glued them on afterwards and done any touchups after that.

Wow Hemble you've pulled that together brilliantly. I'll be honest, I wasn't liking it as much as your first marine, but the weathering and additional detailing is SUPERB mate :D
Are you stopping there or have you another to make?

:clap:clap:clapVery very nice paint job mate, are rocking on the marines mate I will be starting my one soon :)

:panic: Can't wait :hi5: Give us a clue what you've got planned! Sticking to Warhammer or going with something unique?:monkey1

BTW I'd love a tutorial on how Ron uses pastels or chalks in the painting process...Tips anyone??

Well , I decided to join the "Space Marine Club" ! All you guys have set a hell of a standard , so if mine turns out half as good I'll be satisfied . As I'm not a Warhammer guy, ( though I've always loved the designs and have painted up a few miniatures in my time ) I've gone with an original colour scheme . I plan on a norse/viking sort of theme ( surprise , surprise !) so expect a bit of fur and leather to make an appearance ( As well as a honkin' great hammer ). It's still early days and I'm at that "insecure modeller" phase , where I'm not 100% sure I'm happy with the colour scheme . I'll be more comfortable once it's matted down , weathered and a few more colours are thrown into the mix !

I think once you weather the armour - scractch it up, dry brush some silver highlights, it should come together nicely :) Great start m8. Love the giant nipples!!
