Base coat the yellow and mask with a GOOD QUALITY tape , such as Tamiya ( not the household decorators stuff ) then add the black .Remove the tape before the paint fully dries . As long as you're careful , you should get good results . ( I can't stress the bit about the good tape though !) :wink1:

thank you thunder. I've done the base in yellow already. What I have done is make a square patch out of tape [art masking tape] and then cut the stripes out of that.....then use as a template guide as I hope  it should then conform to the curve of the pad

What are these storage shelves called here on the background of this pic, I need something like this for all my paints?

Hey Guys

Well here is my WIP of my second Marine this one is going to be a Space Wolves.

As usual I'm getting bits and pieces from from parts boxs/trays.

The large sword is a Power Sword which has the hilt from a timeline sword and the blade is plasti-card. I still have some work to do but it's about 80% complete.

The knife handle is from a 1/6 German bayonet and teh blade and hand guard are plasti-card, this 90% complete.

The Bolt Pistol has sling added to it and parts from a 1/35th scale and the scope is two seperate scopes attached together, this is about 85% complete.

The grenades have had some pull pins added from using O-Rings.
