Destro looks beyond bad. I wish Sideshow would rehire their old design team. This fuzzy pajama/sweatshirt/oversized-fleece wearing Destro looks awful and the jewel is beyond bad. Even a ten dollar Barbie gets gems that shine. Just a brutally cheaply-done money grab attempt and I'm NOT buying. Cobra Commander 2013 1/6 looks incredible, Destro is one of the worst 1/6's I've seen (especially for 2013).

i don't know i maybe wrong, but i don't think people hate the figure cause it doesn't capture the original 80's look, but more so they hate the figure cause it looks like it was bashed together by a 10 year old.

Sideshow's first Snake Eyes came out 5 years ago and despite the bod, was miles ahead of that.
This figure makes me wanta cancel the cobra commander and just get out of the sideshow gijoe line all together. My interest in the line has been dying off for the past year now. I've sold off a few figures from it now I don't have the motivation to continue. I hate to sound negative, and its cool for the people who are diehard on the line that there getting this key villain but I think i'm done. I would likely pick up a grunt if they make him but aside from that its a wrap.

Sadly, me too. But for nostalgia's sake I will probably keep the Commander. He's on flexpay anyway so it won't be a huge difference but man am I disappointed in Sideshow on this line. Baroness I'm hoping will look good but if not, I will at least save money by not buying Destro or her. The last things I've PO'd in the last few months from SS have been the Supes Ex pf and Cobra Commander 1/6 and that's it. Nothing else has honestly impressed me
Here's hoping for something impressive soon...
Sideshow, 90% of all Joe collectors want classic ARAH designs. Figure it out!

I understand that some people would like it, I mean SSC could sell anything (regardless of any issues) to some folk, but I'm sorry, I don't see how disliking the retarded riveted head and terry cloth leisure suit look means that people has anything to do with "not liking updated looks". I personally don't mind updates if they look good, I just don't see anything that looked good in that preview pic.
