1/6 SSC Destro

Destro looks like absolute ****.
Which is sad....because he was one of the only Joe figures that I planned to pick up.

I think the rivets on the 2nd head make sense, the Sideshow figures tend to be more true to real life and Destro would need a way to remove the mask now and again.

That pistol in his suitcase is like the one the original 3 3/4 figure had in his backpack. So, they obviously are familiar with the original figures. But, why not put it in a backpack? Why not a chrome head?

I think a lot of detail might be lost in a chrome finish, plus CC and the Vipers are chromed...maybe they feel its too much? Even so I feel maybe they should offer this version and a different version that has both heads chromed.

The second head looks so much better. The real issue here is that jacket, if I can find a replacement (serious fail Sideshow if I have to spend more money trying to make the figure acceptable) from whichever customizer on here that looks better than the jacket Sideshow gave him, I would be more satisfied with this release.

Strange that there's no other weapon shown with him other than the pistol and blaster in his briefcase. You'd think they'd take the opportunity to give a weapons supplier a cool "new to 1:6" weapon like they did with the Baroness' Tar-21. I hope there's something more coming with Destro that hasn't been pictured.

Im sorry dude, and being somewhat of a noob to the goings on here I just need to ask.....do you work for sideshow? or are you some kind of joe hypeman? or are you just THAT into this destro?

seriously i don't mean that in a condescending way.

I think it's cool for people to come out and say they like it but to discount other people's legit criticisms only brings down the value of your opinion.

Bingo, but overall Im not that disappointed with Destro

All the new figs look good aside from CC's bobble head

Destro looks great based on that new headsculpt in the photo of him and Baroness. As does CC. All three ordered. Cmon SS, PO Destro. I think they just need to give him a better jewel and I can live with his coat, it makes sense on full reveal. I still hate his teaser sculpt though.

I was wrong, I eat crow about Destro. He looks great but I will never use that first headsculpt. I love the one used with him and Baroness though. THAT is Destro's face to me.

It's not so much the criticism of the figure,but the same people who claim they don't like the figure or want to buy it continue to post over and over....when they'll end up buying it anyway

I get it. but on the other hand I can understand their point of view. Being a huge fan of source material and eagerly awaiting for its production for years only to be severely let down after waiting for so long....i can understand them wanting to get the point across to SS by posting more than once.

Ya, chances are a lot of them will buy...but only because there's not much of a choice...and after all, they love the source material....not necessarily the product put out by sideshow.

In fact, I'm sure many of them are thinking of ways to futz as we speak to bring it to the "high end" collectable standard it is meant to be. because....and lets be real....as produced by SS it really doesn't qualify as a high end collectible figure worthy of a $180 price tag.

Ive got no choice with the way his head looks, but oh well when the classic Cobra lineup are all together, will look great

I won't be buying Destro at retail cost if it's what it seems to be at the moment. If I could get it for around $100 later on, sure, just for the purpose of rounding out the Cobra villains.

That is why I don't believe some of these naysayers...With King's and EvilFace's abilities to custom,I am sure they would turn Destro completely Classic looking

I think people will surprised when they get Destro in hand as they are always better in hand
