Destro looks fine. I am looking forward to getting the figure. I am just disappointed that there was very little that we didn't know about in advance revealed. The only two surprises for me were in the Star Wars line...Probot and Grievous.

Even DC 1:6 has nothing new.

I don't think Destro looks fine. I could live with the plated head (I don't like the 2nd one at all) if the coat was short. I could live with a long coat if the head looked like the original figure. The offending parts together is too much. All of the other details are cool. I have no expectations of religious commitment to the ARAH card art (particularly since they never billed this line to be faithful). But I don't like the design as a whole (unlike Firefly, for example).

I hope they stall and rework.

I like that they tracked down a $10 Hall of Fame 90's figure to pose between Baroness and CC just to show how much more advanced the new figures are compared to then.

Ok in person the plates on his head don't seem to show the lines as much as the photos do...he isn't as bad head wise...the Jacket is the really only "imaginative" design to him.

Move him to a larger muscle body he may not be too bad...

:lol

I wonder how much work that would require. If you're going to show off his rippling pectoral muscles with mega man cleavage, as many had hoped he would have; there isn't that much of a selection of 1/6 nicely muscled bodies without necks. Unless you wouldn't mind hot toys' ... of course considering that his head looks as if it's just one piece.

I don't have a lot of issues with Destro. I think the biggest issue is with the jacket, but I can live with it. I think a leather-type jacket in a field-jacket cut with a red collar would have worked here.

I'm not a purist when it comes to the presentation of a character, and I am definitely not tied to the 80s look of the first figure. This characterization comes closer to my thoughts of Destro, and I like to see a little modernization in some of the characters. I understand others disapproval of what Sideshow has shown us. It's not their idea of Destro. IF they don't like the figure, they will vote with their money and spend it on something else. Capitalism at its finest. Thanks to the unique market for 1:6 figures, I do think that Sideshow will sell through their inventory of Destro, because even those who do not like the whole figure will purchase parts for their own customs. So instead of bunches of Destros sitting on shelves collecting dust, there will be a lot of disliked coats sitting on shelves.

Maybe some enterprising tailor will make a custom suit to fill the need for the 80s look...just don't look at me for that one.
