Ignore your fanbase Sideshow! They're a bunch of haters! Sell a whopping four Destros and waste a ton of cash! Yeah!

:monkey3

:exactly:

If you expect a figure to look accurate, you're a hater now. :dunno
Silly sheep that accept anything act like the changes were needed for a high end collectible, but the the funny thing is when they do the PF for 350 -400 bucks it'll be dead on. :lecture

Boots and gauntlets are the only salvageable parts for me. Nothing else would be used to make a proper Destro.

Absolutely, I agree. Love or hate the design interpretations SSC uses, they always have some unique parts that are great for customizing.

Ignore the haters, Sideshow! Destro looks great!:) I prefer the first revealed portrait myself. I intend to display the figure with that one and use the more medieval-looking one as if Destro is displaying the family heirloom as opposed to using it.

I actually do too.

And funny how when SSC goes full classic like they did with Baroness suddenly the "haters" are nowhere to be found. I mean, we're haters right? Shouldn't we all be complaining about her? And yet, we're not....

I know this is off topic, but whereabouts in Tampa do you live? I was just curious; I live in Clearwater.

Anyway, if you aren't happy with Destro, it doesn't make you a hater. Problem is, there doesn't seem to be any middle ground with the guys that post here. Those of us that like the figure get routinely slammed like we're Sideshow apologists or something. So as soon as someone defends the figure or explains why they like it, someone who doesn't immediately jumps down their throat. It happens repeatedly.

The problem with translating 1980's Destro to this is, that one looked like he fell out of the *** of some weird porno sci-fi flick. Bare chest, jewel, goofy little rockets, metal face, knee high boots, eek.

I am sure they will tweak it more, they seem to pay at least a little attention to feedback, and there has been lots of that about this reveal. Honestly though, I'm surprised the first look looks as good as it does, what a nightmare he would be to turn into a modern figure and try to retain much from the figure aside from the mask.

Either way, lots of bash fodder for anyone wanting to go macho fetish Destro look, shouldn't be too hard to get him closer to that for anyone inclined.

i will bash one too, and keep it the way he comes

If they're going to tweak him they need to do it quickly. Doesn't he PO soon? I like the boots, like the gauntlets, like the headsculpt in the photos with Baroness minus the bolts, the briefcase looks good but everything else should be tweaked and quickly. Tighter tailoring, give him a proper expensive-looking jewel, tighter and shorter shirt or jacket showing chest like the card art of the 80's and then that will be Destro. How long does it take to make a new proto of that? Not long I imagine. Even though some SS staffer will say it takes a long time to make a new proto 'cause he needs a reason to keep his job. Anyway, get going Sideshow. We need a proper Destro! :)

I would probably get him take off costume and make his traditional suit.

the only part that does look bad is his jacket and shirt, yes he may have looked like a chipindale with metal face in 80's but we grew up with him like that kinda hard to change.

But yea jacket I think its the fabric that looks cheep maybe a motorcycle or another leather jacket with red collar would be nice. a v neck shirt would be better or button up shirt showing some chest.
