Definitely NOT buying Destro.

Gah frustrating. The only figure I truely ever sincerely HAD TO HAVE wanted from this line from Day 1 and it's utter garbage to me. FFS SSC!!!

The alternate head sculpt almost looks like a more traditional mask, as in it's covering a face.

Honestly, given the quasi-realistic route Sideshow has taken with the line, I really thought they might go with a ballistic mask or something like that that would obviously cover his whole head. I hate to say it, but I anticipated Sideshow doing something akin to the mask/helmet(s) the Vipers wore in Rise of Cobra. So it would essentially be a guy in a mask as opposed to the alternative; I know it's supposed to be a mask handed down through the generations, but it always seemed to just be his face in the cartoon and comics. Anyway, the alt head sculpt kind of seems like that. It almost looks like it could split apart a la the HOF Destro figures mask.

I'll be interested to find out when he goes up for pre-order. I think it's unlikely that the mask comes apart or has more human eyes behind the eye-holes, but we'll see.

I dont ever remember any Sideshow 1/6 figure that was so poorly designed and so innacurate and cheap looking. Even their 12" Universal Monsters line made 12-13 years ago didnt have a single figure that look so cheap like this one.Definite hasbro quality.

Oh that cheap jewel Oh that baggy outfit Oh those rivets. SS please fix him. Keep the second headsculpt. Give us the Destro we want. When I see this guy, it just isn't Destro. Look at the card art from my childhood Sideshow. The answer is waiting for you right there. Baroness and Cobra Commander look great, so PLEASE fix Destro and don't make us wait a year. I tried to be positive, but... I just can't.

Ignore the haters, Sideshow! Destro looks great! I prefer the first revealed portrait myself. I intend to display the figure with that one and use the more medieval-looking one as if Destro is displaying the family heirloom as opposed to using it.
