I want Pimp Destro as an SDCC Ex....:monkey3

PDD = CCC Mike. Its a perfect for a SDCC Ex (Hasbro thought so too) but it definately falls into the CCC category of crazy outfits.

SDCC EX's aren't meant to be must-have figures or characters. They should be desirable sure, but making a completley new character or figure in such limited numbers would be a low blow to many collectors. Sure Sideshow makes getting their con exclusives easy, but that doesn't mean they are in huge numbers. I'd think around 1,000 for this guy. Maybe 2,000. And I'm sure these will sell out, most of Sideshow' 1:6 SDCC exclusives do.

They didn't even have to give him a gun, so stop complaining. SDCC exclusives generally are just 'glorified repaints' so him coming with old parts is to be expected. Heck, its way better than last year's Joe SDCC Ex.

:exactly: People are gonna _____ cause they're good at it and need something to _____ about.

:exactly: They make it very easy for folks to get that small run of items, but these are not meant to be a brand new character that folks can get pissed over. Virtually, every con ex that I've seen in the last 6 years 7 counting this has been that way. The ES on these pieces are always much lower than the norm and making it a full on repaint is the best way to go. Otherwise you risk doing what GG has done in the past and pissing people off.

I go to this event if they want to make Destro a Comic-Con Ex fine by me then I want to see some of the folks who don't mind a new character miss out. Then not moan and groan when they do. :lol

This is a perfect SDCC Exclusive. Again, something a little different, but not a must have for the main line.

If you don't like it, don't buy it...it's as simple as that. I for one will be ordering my non-attendee version. Don't think I'll display it with the gun or sachel but I'm sure there are plenty of other accessories for plenty of display options.

One of the two Hasbro releases came with an Uzi, so I am cool with it.

We'll prolly see them on Mon or Tues.

- Sent by Paleolithic cave painting using blood and bones.

I am not making it to Comic Con this year and that is going to make getting this figure difficult.

- Sent by monkey with abacus and cup-and-string phone

Yep, thats exactly what I do when I see something I dont agree with, and as I forum, my right to voice my opinion. I dont chime in on others comments of how they LOVE everything and every decision SS makes, so why do you and others, always have to step in and defend what others dont like?

The ES size?? They are all small these days, and you can get these figures easily, even if you dont go to the con, Ill let everyone in on asecret, THEY ARE AVAILABLE FOR PREORDER ON THIS THING CALLED THE......INTERNET
Who has ever missed out on one? Its a lame ass excuse, Ill buy the old its meant to be a Con ex item just shot ____s and giggles, but the ES excuse is BS.

There were 4250 blue Cobra Commanders made (1250 Ex., 3000 Reg.) There were only 1000 CCC's.

I hate to help Josh, but he's right that if only a thousand of the real figure had been made, heads would be rolling. It's not that you can't get one if you want one, but they do tend to dry up faster.

Personally, I don't mind when a SDCC Exclusive isn't something I want. If it's a regular release, I'm annoyed that I have to wait until the next figure to see something I want.

still basing the purchase on the claw. I like the look though with the sachel and the uzi. pretty sweet. also like the sculpt a lot.

Well, thats exactly what I do when I see something I don't agree with. :) Especially, if I see someone who is talking out of their backside. You're moaning and groaning on something that you would be in the clear minority and actually piss other fans off and yourself if you missed it.

Yeah, but not when you look at how many Joe figures are made reg/ex for each figure. This will be something like 1000 pieces total thats small for a Joe figure overall. Yes, they make it easier for those not going to the Con and they are one of the few that do. Let them go back to the the lottery that they used before I started going or like some that it can only be and folks will really _____.

Really the internet you say? Thats a awesome. :slap Well, generall about 10% of each of these is made to those not going. That would be 100 if the ES is 1k. Now, some will pick it up and sell which makes it easier along with a few that don't get picked up may come back up. However, with a smaller edition size than regular joe figures folks will miss out thats really a simple fact.

Regardless of whether or not the correct shade of green was used or if any ninja other than Snake Eyes is allowed to wield an uzi I must say that may be one of the coolest looking figures I've ever seen.

Don't mind the re-use of Snake Eyes' suppressed Uzi, because that's an awesome weapon (I don't suppose Toy Anxiety will be be able to get any to break down, I'd love to pick up an extra Uzi), but this is definitely a cool figure.

Con Exclusives will limit one per person, right?

Also, it looks like the Cobra Ninja Viper comes with bare and gloved hands. His hands are clearly black in the preview pic with him holding the Uzi. I dig the look of the black gloves with the bracers.

the figure is cool as a SDCC Exclusive, but my biggest gripe is the unposable Ninja pants and RATCHET KNEES! ;)

Yeah, like the gloved hands will help give it a different look from the red besides the color. Think I'll pose him with the uzi as well just to look different.
