Love it. Ordering it.

The Joe boards would explode in a sloppy, wet spray of haterade if that happened. :lol

Yup. Sometimes it can be damn embarrassing. Well... as far as I can tell, it only really happens on the one site...

Thats good for you I guess. I'm not sure how many people really felt they were a major thing to have. If not done as a comic con ex it could have just been am ex with another character to be honest. Its nothing vital.

Then I guess Comic-Con Ex not being super "exclusive isn't that big of a deal then? :lol These items sell just find and most items come back around for a while so cares. I think you feel its pointless cause you can't flip stuff as easily anymore.

None of this is really a major thing to have, we buy because this is what we enjoy, yes being the first different statue than a turtle, alot of people did not care for it, especially dishing out $800 for the set (if ordered at retail) but it was still something new that wasn't a variant or rehash, I applaud them for doing it...one of my favorite non comic/art/sketchbook exclusives ever.

No to me it isn't a big deal, I paid $55 for TTT Sgt Slaughter because I missed out on the show, no big deal, I found ways to get the exc items where I didn't have to pay outrageous prices, I sold because people where buying, I have been on both sides, and I don't flip sdcc exc anymore, I haven't been to a con in 2 years, this will be my third in a row.

yeah I guess that would be hilarious something we actually want, good point... :dunno

Well, the only hilarious thing is your inability to grasp the difference between a SDCC Exclusive and a regular release. It surprises me really, given your claim about SDCC attendance. Most of the companies do this for cons.

No kidding. I said that already when you said it the first time. :lol Thats why the mouser was perfect it was a non essential item to the collection. If they used one of your choices while it would be exciting for you it might piss off a larger portion of the fan base. Which is dumb.

Well, your responses make it sound like you'd rather A) have the I got something you don't and B) want to be able to sell them for profit. You may not feel that way but your posts show otherwise. Well, now that you don't care about it you should go back and enjoy the show for what it is.

I guarantee they would sell equally. These comic-con items will sell out and at somepoint have a few come back with either hoption. Thinking otherwise is kind of naive on your part. :lol

You're a flipper and thats cool. Its your thing. Just don't be pissed these companies have cut you off at the knees.

yeah they might sell down the road, but not in the same quantity, or if there was an open edition, a green ninja viper would really sell more than a crimson guard, eel bat whatever? kinda naive on your part.

Flipping has nothing to do with a rehashed figure, other than a flipper probably wouldn't invest in buying too many to resell. They made a new one with Aayla at 3000, why couldn't they do a new character for Joe, 2 Joe exc already and they are both rehashed, can't believe I am the only one annoyed by this, how much crap CCC got in the beginning. Have you guys settled for what SS puts out?

yeah they do, usually something a bit more unique than a recolor...

I collect alot of sketchbooks from artists, and if an artist made the same book, put a different cover on it and said it was new, doubt it would sell much, I know the hardcore fans would be upset, unlike many here which is surprising.

What they do are figures that would not warrant a regular release, but will sell at significantly reduced edition sizes, with the added attraction of having been made specifically to commemorate the event. It's the perfect venue for something that would not sell like Beachhead or Zartan.

But one lone ex-flipper would be ecstatic that some fool in the SSC marketing department agreed with his really bad idea.

gosh, it would be a horrible idea to release something that is in demand, now where are the posts demanding an olive drab ninja viper :lol

They'd most likely have around the same ES. Which means it will sell the same. Is that hard for you to grasp? The only naive person here is you as I'm starting to doubt you have been to or understand Comic-Con Ex. :lol

Aayla is a character like the mouser that people weren't dying to get a hold of. Something that can be skipped much like a Cobra Viper which is to say variants are characters that folks won't care about CCC or variants Cobra Ninja Viper. You're the only one annoyed for really silly reasons that everyone can tell what they are. Nobody is settling but understands more so than someone who has supposedly been 9 times to Comic-Con. :lol

back to Aayla, made 3000 of those, not exactly limited considering still going for retail. Not saying to release a 1st or 2nd tier character, but why not another trooper or someone not as popular as Zartan or Beachhead, what about Zarana, or any other Dreadnoks, the list could go on so I won't bother....it isn't like these are not available to the general public, you order them a week or two after the preorder for the attendees go up.

This isn't just a recolor. New pants, new headsclupt, different weapons, etc. Did you miss the VIP posts? :dunno

:duh:duh:duh:duh:duh

The line isn't suffering, so I don't see what the big deal is. Popular characters are on their way...

You're trying to compare SS, Hasbro, etc to the artist there. :lol Totally different animals.

not if enough were made.

The point of the Comic-Con Ex is to make just enough to meet those going and for some not. If the ES were larger then they might as well make it a regular release. :slap

I really do not need to prove that I have been to sdcc, I know I have been and that is good enough for me, could really care less if you think I have gone or not.

If a character is in demand, why wouldn't they put a higher edition size up? There is a reason the rehashed troopers have lower es#'s, they won't sell as much.

Aayla is a character that was popular for awhile (don't follow SW much anymore) so I would see her on the same level as a third tier Joe character probably more popular than most. Exc are wanted by most, that is why they usually sell out, toys, comics, prints etc, just saying a better character would have been a better choice, but hey if you are happy with a green ninja cool, I won't judge, I wasn't happy with the rehashed troopers, but still got them, and like I said I will still get this green ninja, just don't like the choice.
