Delays happen with every figure sure, but after Drake we can't help but fear this is going to be a lemon.

The original date was August. I've seen more complex figures to come our earlier than expected.

They've push Hoth Han back to January and Hoth Luke to February as well. Perhaps the Drake fiasco has led to a re-evaluation on the production method for human likenesses.

When Sideshow got their order of 10,000 Snake Plissken's, the quality made them go like this:

Has there ever been a press statement on why a particular figure kept getting delayed ever from any company? Not being sarcastic, honestly asking.

On the upside... that means I've only got one figure coming due next month, which is a bit of a relief as I got slammed on Pre-Orders this month

Not that I'm aware of, but it's generally described as either changes made to the product, scheduling issues with the factory, or some kind of QC problem.

The only time I can ever recall a semi-official statement was when the ROTS Kenobi was delayed... I think there was a mention from a Sideshow empolyee it was due to QC, but the end product was still pretty awful looking

Hot Toys pulled the John Conner figure due to bad QC on the head sculpt and they went public with it.

Can they change flexpays on the fly if a figure is delayed? How often does this happen?

Apparently all the time, some people are still waiting on Robocop that was due on August, The only reason I didn't order him was that the date would get in the way of the Snake figure and the Bat Armory and still robo hasn't ship on SSC.
