Maybe you are right, it is sideshows fault and they should acknowledge their mistakes. But I kind of dont understand that if you didn't pre order this figure why you post on this thread saying bad things about it? I know its your opinion and is on topic, but most of us are hyped to get this one and we are all hoping that this figure at least turns decent or better than the drake figure. This is my first SSC figure and I hope that is not the last. I've seen all the other horrors they released before but IMO this figured getting pushed 3 times means that they know they screwed up with Drake and they are stepping up their QC.

I think I'm bitter for all their past figures that could of been good, and this is like the last straw, I think my love for SS is going down the toilet. As I've said before the raising of prices really broke the camels back for me. I want this figure to be good. But I've been let down, you are right I shouldn't vent on here but it shouldn't be all rainbows with SS, but I feel like I'm being like A-dev just being harsh, not on just SS though I hate HT's now too after seeing ED209 and other bad things they do too. Just jaded maybe? I'll stop though cause you are right, you guys should be happy and hyped for this.

I understand your frustation because ive seen the bad figures a a high and seen unlicense figures from smaller companies that achieve higher quality than SS.

I understand from your perspective too, considering this will be your first SS figure, you are lucky. I've been collecting SS since I was 18 in 1999 so I've been let down by them for years, I still stick around cause I hope they make me feel like that again(the way I felt about them before HT's came on the scene). But since other companies including Hot Toys have proven they can do better its been hard to still wait for SS to make their comeback maybe with this one, well we can only hope.

The good thing about SSC is that the HS can be saved by a Repaint like the Drake figure, I've seen repaints of the Indy figure the looked way better than the HT one. so lets just pray this figure is good. I belive that after the Drake figure they can't screw this one up....I could be wrong, let hope not.

The point is, at this price point, we shouldn't have to repaint them. Not everyone has the time or talent to repaint it themselves and hiring someone else to repaint it is an even costlier and sometimes sketchy proposition. How many here have been burned by artists who have turned to the Dark side on this forum? I can name several. We are paying for a licensed product that should have a quality likeness and paint apps. Anything sub-par is totally unacceptable.

True I've been burned , but ya. Not good, the sculpt will be ok cause its done by J Hong or whatever his name is its just up to the factory and its paint apps.

Well, I meant on headsculpts. Robocop's body looks like ****.

They Are all guilty of Sloppyness sometimes, no matter the company.

The thing with SS & HT is they like to think themselves the Big boys and alas egos have now made them less on deliver and More on the income from paying punters.
Hence why we get flooded with Figures on Pre Order only to find we are waiting upon waiting upon waiting for a release. All the while they take the PO money and laugh at us praying for a release date.

I have been collecting 1/6th since a kid with the old Palitoy AM on and off.
Personally No One company has yet made the perfect figure that justifies the expenses we alas seem to pay with HT, SS and a few others.
All need a little work to be perfect but I do NOT mind doing the extra work just the originally price tag.

Look at HT Blade. Everyone claims its one of HTs best. Yet its wrong, as Blade doesn't wear Leather pants, head sculpt is actually challenged by cheap Marvel Studios 12" Blade from way back when on likeness to Snipes, plus a few other tidbits.
Yet people are willing to drop hundreds to get him into their collections and yes got him myself but have made the mods.

look at the Rubber muscled bodies, ED 209s with rubber rot issues, Iron Monger with the Hip issues and so forth.

With Snake I expect on the whole I will love it and am willing to do the extra work. Key questions are the distressed look on the jacket and headsculpt. However some bloody amazing head sculpts available of Snake as replacement options or just straight forward repaint as already said.

I just want mine NOW!! I have already made a few U.S.P.F. figures waiting to receive the new prisoner.

That's one thing I'm certain they don't plan on doing unfortunately.

As for Blade, it is one of HT best figures. Sure it's not 100% accurate, but that doesn't keep it from being a awesome figure.

Rotting rubber? Yea that sucks. I just avoid those offerings.

Jacket weathering? A little sandpaper here and there is all that's needed.

Sand paper might work, but Snake's coat is so distressed that it's turning yellow. So I think it would need a light coat of paint in parts of it.
